学情分析
First year high school students are more familiar with the theme of music. Through the development of middle school English skills and the cultivation of early high school English learning, they have acquired the ability to extract key information, grasp the main idea, and understand complex expressions around the discourse theme during the listening process; Can understand text materials with standard pronunciation and moderate speaking speed; Ability to apply learned knowledge in daily life for simple oral communication. Some students' pronunciation of words is not standard enough, their use of words is not accurate enough, and they have a fear of difficulties in English oral expression; Most students do not have a good grasp of listening skills, cannot proficiently apply various listening skills, and cannot effectively apply the knowledge they have learned to express their opinions and preferences in practice.

1. Learn to recognize different types of music;
2. Practice listening and understand detailed information about music preferences;
3. Use this technique in listening to understand what free translation is and grasp key information;
4. Discuss the role of music in your daily life.
教学重难点:
Guide students to master listening skills, and this session focuses on the use of paraphrasing as a communication technique. By setting questions before listening practice and providing prompts during the listening process, students can better understand the listening material and improve their listening skills.
学习活动
Step 1: Lead-in
Show 5 different pieces of music and students try to identify which type of music they belong to.【设计意图】Help students understand different types of music and master vocabulary related to music genres, establishing structural connections between old and new knowledge through past knowledge.
Step 2: Pre-listening
Task 1: Finish EX 2 on page 50. Ask students to match the pictures with the correct types of music.
Task 2: Look and Say. Students try to use present continuous tense to describe what the people are doing in the pictures
【设计意图】Prepare language for listening by discussing and matching pictures, mastering key word chunks through describing pictures, reducing listening difficulty, understanding music genres, and enhancing students' cultural awareness.
Step 3: While-listening
Task 1: Listen to the main points.
Have students listen to the interview, draw lines between words, and form complete sentences. tell
Students believe that some words will not be used.
Suggested answer:
① The first student likes to listen to country music.
② The second student likes to dance to hip-hop music.
③ The third student enjoys playing classical music.
【设计意图】This task helps students gain a preliminary understanding of the listening text content and exercises their ability to accurately grasp the main idea of each part during the listening process.
Task 2: Listen for detailed information.
Ask students to listen to the interview again and complete the sentences.

【设计意图】Further familiarize oneself with the listening text, obtain detailed information about the visit, guide students to focus on keywords, and lay the foundation for explaining strategies later on.
Task 3: Summarize listening strategies and teach students how to use free translation.
Have students read through the listening strategies, paraphrase and ensure their understanding.
Definition: Explain some difficult things to someone using simple words with the same meaning. Mainly used to check whether our understanding is correct and to show our interest in others' words.
【设计意图】Summarize, organize, and generalize the specific application of strategies to lay a solid language foundation for subsequent activities.
Step 4: Post-listening
Task 1: Group collaboration. Discuss the following issue (5 meters). Please ask some students to share their viewpoints.
Do these types of music make you feel like a student Why or why not
Suggested answer: Classical music also makes me feel relaxed because I also find it peaceful and beautiful.
What type of music do you dislike and how does it make you feel
Suggested answer: I don't like heavy metal music at all. It's too noisy and too fast. It gives me a headache!
【设计意图】After listening, let students evaluate different types of music based on their actual situation and describe their preferences, laying a simple language and content foundation for the following activity tasks.
Task 2: Pair work. Do the role play. Interview each other about music preference. Give some tips and let students use paraphrase for idea.(6 m)
