Comic strip & Welcome to the unit(教材第50~51页),“Comic strip & Welcome to the unit”是本单元的第一课时,也是打开学生想象大门的第一步,对关于科幻性的未来生活的想象与讨论,为“Reading”部分的顺利进行作了适当的铺垫.
教材分析
“Comic strip & Welcome to the unit”是本单元的第一课时,“Comic strip”中Eddie和Hobo的对话以纯正录音和幽默插图形式引出了本单元的主题。在紧随其后的“Welcome to the unit”中,描绘太空生活什么样,给学生以想象的空间,同时也为后面的“Reading”学习作好铺垫。

在Comic strip部分,学生通过欣赏Eddie和Hobo之间关于火星的有趣对话,初步感知单元话题:“火星上的生活”;在Welcome to the unit板块,学习关于火星生活的对话语篇,讨论太空旅行的必需品,比较火星生活和地球生活的差异,分析火星上生活的优点和缺点,懂得世界上只有一个地球,树立保护家园的意识。

Step 2 Presentation(新授部分)
(1)Name the other planets in solar system. They can say them in Chinese if they don't know the塞English names
Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Septum, Uranus, Neptune
(2) Show another picture about Yang Liwei and present some words
T: Do you know the man
Ss: He is Yang Liwei
I: Great. He is a hero and our country’s pride. Humans have been to the Moon. And they have to wear helmets and take cameras with them to take photos. Do you want to have a space travel to Mars
Ss: Yes, we do
Step 3 Practice(操练)
(1) Show the students several pictures and find out the problems with Earth
(2) Tell the students the scientists think Mars is the most probable planet in solar system for humans to live on
We can imagine what life will be like on Mars
(3) Two or four students in a group discuss if life on Mars is better than that on Earth at present Encourage them to think over the reasons
(4) Read each new word in Part A and do a survey about advantages of living on Earth.
Step 4 Present “Comic strip”(新授Comic strip)
(1) Tell students that Eddie and Hobo are now living on Mars. And listen to their conversation and find out how Eddie likes life on Mars. (Eddie hates life on Mars. )
(2) Lien and read after the recorder to pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation
(3) Read the dialogue in pairs and then act it out

教学探讨与反思
本课教学设计由于是引入课程,在教学的过程中以提问的方式引入该课程,通过师生互动,学生积极参与讨论等环节,从让学生掌握新知识的步骤等方面出发,考虑到了教学中的各个元素,设计较为严密。在具体教学中采用学生自主发现与合作讨论等方式,教学灵活且具有创新价值,符合新课标的理念,对学生英语基本素养的提高有很大作用,有利于提高学生的学习兴趣。
