1.seem的用法

2.encourage的用法
encourage动词,意为“鼓励,激励”,encourage的常用结构:
encourage sb to do sth鼓励某人做某事;encourage sb in sth在
某方面鼓励某人。名词形式为encouragement。
Miss Zhang often encourages us to speak English after class.
张老师经常鼓励我们下课后说英语。

3.teach的用法
teach用作及物动词,意为“教”。
Mrs Zhao teaches English in a school.
赵女士在一所学校教英语。
[拓展] teach的其他用法:
(1)teach sb sth “教某人某事”,其中sb用人称代词的宾格。
Mr Li teaches us history.
李老师教我们历史。
(2)teach sb to do sth“教某人做某事”。
She teaches me to play the piano.她教我弹钢琴。
4.die的用法
die动词,意为“死去,死亡”

老妇人知道自己快死了。
5.compare 的用法
compare动词,意为“相比较;可媲美”。通常用compare…with…
的结构。
And they are always comparing them with other children.
并且他们总是拿他们和别的孩子进行比较。
[拓展] compare的其他用法:
(1)compared with为过去分词短语,表示被动含义,意为“与……相比”。
Compared with the white one,I like the black one better.
与那个白色的相比,我更喜欢这个黑色的。
(2)compare…to…意为“把……比作……”。
He compared the girl to a flower.
他把那个女孩比作一朵花。
注意:compare…to…也有“把……与……比较”之意,此时可与compare…
