1.动词过去式
动词过去式变化分为规则变化和不规则变化。
(1)规则变化
①一般动词在词尾加-ed, 如: look—looked, watch— watched。
②以-e结尾的动词，词尾加-d。如：like— liked, dance— danced。
③以“辅音字母+y”结尾的动词，变y为i, 再加-ed。 如: study— studied,try—— tried。
④末尾只有一个辅音字母的重读闭音节单词，双写该辅音字母，再加-ed。如: shop— shopped, plan— planned。
(2)不规则变化
动词过去式不规则变化形式是因词而异的。 如: is/ am— was, get— got。

2.一般过去时

(2)结构:
①陈述句
肯定形式：
主语+动词过去式+其他.
例:I went to Nanjing last week.
否定形式：
主语+ did+ not+动词原形+其他.
例:I didn't go to school yesterday.
②一般疑问句
Did+主语+动词原形+其他
肯定回答: Yes,主语+ did.
否定回答: No, 主语+ didn't.
Was/ Were+主语+表语
肯定回答: Yes, 主语+ was/ were.
否定回答: No,主语+ wasn't/ weren't.
例:— Did you go shopping last night
— Yes, I did./ No, I didn't.
③特殊疑问句
特殊疑问词+一般疑问句

3.一般现在时
