Task 2 Then give students some materials about Guinness World Records,that is “DID YOU KNOW”. Ask:Do you know who discovered the biggest mosquito in the world ◆Step 2 Listening Task 1 Listen to the news report and choose the main idea. a Zhao Li discovers a large mosquito. b An insect museum will open in Chengdu. c Tourists can now visit the museum. Task 2 1.Listen again and complete the introduction to Zhao Li. But before listening,remind students to read Learning to learn,that is: Listening for information We often need to find out some information when listening.Before listening,find out what information you need,such as names or numbers.Then listen for connected words and expressions. 2.After listening,first show students the whole passage and ask them to read it after the tape.Second,ask them to retell it and try to interview Zhao Li. Task 3 1. Listen to the interview and complete the notes. But before listening,lead students to pay attention to some guiding language,such as Now,We're going to …,and Next. 2. Listen again.Then talk about how the interviewer changes the subject. ◆Step 3 Post listening Task 1 Show students pictures of Walt Disney and Huang Yongyu.
