Marco Polo was a businessman from Italy.
When he was 17, he hit the road to China. He traveled along the silk road with his father and uncle. In 1275, Marco polo travelled to Beijing. He met the king of China and worked for him for seventeen years. In 1295, he went back to Italy. He brought some silk, tea, paper and other goods back to his country. Later, a writer wrote a book about Marco polo’s travels, The Travels of Marco Polo.
From the book we can know Marco Polo was really a great traveller.
