be 动词在英语中是非常重要且基础的一类动词，其基本形式有 am、is、are，过去式有 was（am/is 的过去式）和 were（are 的过去式）。它在不同时态和句式中有着多样的用法。
一般现在时：
当主语是第一人称单数 I 时，be 动词用 am。例如：I am a student.（我是一名学生。）

一般过去时：
当主语是第一人称单数 I 和第三人称单数（he/she/it 等）时，be 动词的过去式用 was。例如：I was at home yesterday.（我昨天在家。）She was late for school.（她上学迟到了。）
当主语是第二人称 you，以及第一、二、三人称的复数（we/you/they）时，be 动词的过去式用 were。例如：You were in the park last week.（你上周在公园。）They were busy last month.（他们上个月很忙。）
一般将来时：
常见结构为 “be going to + 动词原形”，其中 be 动词会根据主语的人称和数进行变化。例如：I am going to visit my grandparents.（我打算去看望我的祖父母。）He is going to play football.（他打算去踢足球。）They are going to have a party.（他们打算举办一个派对。）
另一种结构是 “will + 动词原形”，此时 be 动词用原形 be。例如：It will be sunny tomorrow.（明天将会是晴天。）We will be there on time.（我们会准时到那里。）
There be 句型：
表示 “某地有某物 / 某人”，be 动词的形式要根据其后最靠近的名词的单复数来确定。如果是单数名词或不可数名词，be 动词用 is；如果是复数名词，be 动词用 are。例如：There is a book on the desk.（桌子上有一本书。）There are two pens in the pencil - box.（铅笔盒里有两支钢笔。）当出现多个名词时，遵循 “就近原则”，如：There is a cat and two dogs in the room.（房间里有一只猫和两只狗。）
be 动词在疑问句和否定句中的变化：
