Status and Function1. This unit tells us how to talk about consequences, Since the Ss have learned the first condition if + will and Modal verb should. Students can use this structure to make more sentences. 2.This lesson is a reading passage which focused on the topic of sharing your problems with others when you have troubles. Talking to someone can help a lot. Such a topic is related to our daily life, so it is easy to arouse the students’ learning interest.Ⅱ .The teaching purpose and demandsKnowledge Objects(1) Students can understand the main idea of the article.
(2) To learn and master some difficult sentences:
Unless we talk to someone, we’ll certainly feel worse.
It’s best not to run away from our problems.

(1)Students can use the proper reading skill such as anticipating, skimming, scanning to achieve the reading tasks.

III. Key points and difficult pointsPart 2 The analysis of students
The students have been learning English for more than one year, They understand some words and simple sentences. They enjoy learning through cooperation in a relaxing atmosphere. However, their English learning levels are different from each other. Some of them don’t have enough English to express what to do when they have problems. They need the teachers’ help and encouragement in their further study.

I’ll ask them to have a free talk and answer the question :
What should the boy or the mother do?
What will you do if you have the same problem?Purpose: From the video the students can find something in common . So it can attract the students’ attention and it also is related to our topic.
Do you have any problems? What kind of things do you worry about? Who do you usually go to for help? They can discuss in groups .Step2 Pre-reading(5mins)The purpose is to let students know what we may learn today, and help them to predict the main idea.
Step3 While-reading(15mins) 1. Skimming
Skim the passage quickly and choose the main idea of the passage in 2b.
If people have problems, they should get advice from an expert.
If people have problems, they should keep them to themselves.
If people have problems, they should talk to other people.

Purpose: It’s very clear for students that today we will learn
the problems and the solutions. Students can also learn Modal verb should
