A simpler version:
Recently, I have read a wonderful fable titled “The Stone in the Road”.
In this fable, a king wanted to test his people’s response to trouble by putting a stone in the road, under which were some gold coins. All the people passing by the stone ignored it except a young girl, who moved the stone out of the road, thus finding the gold coins.
I have learned two valuable lessons from the story: we should take personal responsibility for problems in the community and one good turn deserves another.
