2. Why would the owner be willing to wait for a long time to get paid
They change their attitudes after seeing the million-pound note because they think that he is rich.
Perhaps he thinks that Henry will come back and buy a lot more clothes in the future or tell his wealthy friends about the shop.
Is it right to judge people by their clothes Why or why not
Discussion
No, it’s not right, for two reasons.
First, everyone has dignity(尊严) and should be treated with the same respect;
Second, you cannot judge someone before you know all the facts about this person. Dressing well or having a lot of money doesn’t mean someone is a nice person. Sometimes appearances are deceptive(欺骗的).
2. Underline the sentences that show how people’s attitudes change towards Henry.

dialogue
In classical Western theatre, a play has three acts. The first act gives the basic setting for the story and introduces the characters; the second act involves a conflict or struggle of some sort; finally, in the third act that conflict is somehow resolved, usually after a climax(高潮)where the conflict or struggle from the second act is intensified and brought to a head.
With each act, there are scenes. Each scene takes place in a different setting. Or, if it takes place in the same setting, it involves different characters or occurs sometime after the previous scene.
Acts (幕) and Scenes (场)
Stage directions 舞台说明
to tell the living environment and setting;
to direct actors’ movement, gesture, facial expression, tone of voice etc.
舞台说明是剧作家的提示语言,一般用括号括起来,具有增强舞台气氛、烘托人物心情、展示人物性格、推动故事情节等作用。
Lines 台词
(lines of dialogue对话, narration旁白, monologue独白)
to show the plots
to portray characters
to show the theme
剧作者则须在人物头一次开口,便显出他的性格来。这很不容易。剧作者必需知道他的人物的全部生活,才能三言两语便使人物站立起来,闻其声,知其人。
