广州电视课堂是由广州市教育局为全市中小学生提供的线上教育服务。作为 托底课程,本课面向全市的学生,学生基础不一。在上一课时的学习中,学生已 初步接触阅读文本内的生词和重点单词,对其语境义有了初步感知,但对于单词 的用法以及文章出现的语言点缺少深入的了解。
教学目标:
通过本节课的学习,学生能够:
1. 了 解 目 标 词 汇 ( admire, official, amazing, accommodation, other than, economy, view, sight )的读音、词义、词性和搭配用法;
2. 通过创设语境与习题练习相结合的方法掌握目标词汇的含义以及在语境 中的运用。
3. 从三个方面:decide a destination, collect information, make arrangements 来 介绍如何为一次旅行做准备。
教学重点与难点:
1. 通过对本课的学习,学生能够了解并掌握目标词汇的用法,能在特定的 语境中使用目标词汇和表达。
2. 学生能够使用相关话题词汇介绍旅行前的准备工作。

Step 4 T asks Ss, “What other popular destinations does the text talk about besides Cusco ” . Then T presents three places: Machu Picchu, Amazon Rainforest and Lake Titicaca to Ss. T asks Ss what people can do in those places. By answering the question, T elicits the sentences that include the target words, and explains the usage of the important words respectively: Amazing – T introduces the root word “amaze” and talks about the difference between “amazed” and “amazing” . Step 5 T asks Ss what else people can do in Lake Titicaca. T says that people can also go on a cruise. T asks Ss how much they know about a cruise. T says that there is a passage introducing what a cruise is and asks Ss to complete the passage using the given words. Before finishing the task, T explains some key words in the word box. T asks Ss to match the two parts to make definitions. In the process of checking the answers, T explains the usage of other than, economy, and talks about the difference between view and sights. Step 6 T asks Ss that among the four famous tourist attractions, which place they want to travel, and asks Ss what should be taken into consideration when planning a trip.
