学情分析:
广州电视课堂是由广州市教育局为全市中小学生提供的线上教育服务。作为 托底课程,本课面向全市的学生,学生基础不一。通过前几个课时的学习,学生 学习了有关如何为旅行做准备、活动安排、景点描写等,但对于旅行计划的行文 结构、文本特征和语言特点还不十分了解,学生的书面表达能力(遣词造句、谋 篇布局等)也都比较薄弱。
教学目标:
通过本节课的教学,学生能够:
1. 通过阅读 Richard 写给 Xiao Li 的电子邮件和兵马俑的宣传页了解西安的 重点景观和其他景点,增进对以兵马俑为代表的灿烂的中华文化的认识 并为之自豪;
2. 分析、提取旅行计划的文本特征及语言特点,懂得如何礼貌得体地回复 邮件;
3. 写一封陈述自己的旅行计划的电子邮件。
教学重点与难点:
1. 引导学生掌握旅行计划的文本结构特征及语言特点。
2. 撰写一封礼貌得体、条理清晰、内容丰富的旅行计划的电子邮件。

Pre-writing
Activity 2 * Ss read Text 1 for content and useful information by finishing the following tasks: ( 1) Find out some information about Richard’s plan such as where to go, when to go, whom to go with, how to go etc. (2) Analyze the characteristics of Richard’s travel plan. * Ss read Text 2 and find out the basic information about the Terracotta Army and what impresses them most. To ensure that Ss understand the content of Text 1 and Text 2, and help Ss obtain necessary information about Xi’an and the Terracotta Army. 5 min
Activity 3 Ss read Text 1 for structure and language by finishing the following tasks: ( 1) Underline the words and phrases used to express emotion in the email. Then complete the second table To help Ss to summarize the structure of the email, a travel plan and the language to express one’s eagerness or excitement. 4 min
on P31. (2) Study the structure of the email and summarize it in the first table on P31.
While-writing
Activity 4 Ss have discussions in groups about what to write in their travel plan, including the destination, main purpose, other plans, transport, schedule, final thoughts etc. To prepare contents Ss need in their writing practice. 5 min
Activity 5 Ss write a reply to Richard about their travel plan during the holiday based on the result of their discussion. To practice writing a travel plan and learn how to reply to a friend’s email politely. 0 min
