新旧更替的时代已经到来,在走向未来的过程中我们不可能将过去的一切保存下来。
There comes a time when... 为完全倒装句式 ,该句式的构成特点为“ 地点副词+谓语动词+主语”,其中的when引导的是定语从句,修饰 a time, 句式翻译为 “…..的时刻到来,总有….的时候”。
例句
There comes a time when you need to make your own decision.
总有你要为自己抉择的时候。

The word “path” must have some figurative meaning,
“a path to the future” means a new way to develop.
“ run over” means causing damage to cultural heritage.
本句的意思是,这些国家不仅找到了一条不以牺牲古迹为代价的未来之路,而且明白了多个国家合作创造美好未来的可能性。
归纳总结:这是一个由not only…but also …引导的并列句。
当not only 位于句首时, 句子的前面部分要倒装,后面一个句子不倒装,结构为 not only +助动词/情态动词+主语+谓语的其它部分,but also+句子。
