学情分析 Seventh - grade students have already grasped some basic English vocabulary and sentence patterns, which enables them to express simple ideas. They can understand and create simple written texts on familiar topics. In terms of this lesson, they may have some prior knowledge about happiness from their daily life and previous English learning, which can be used as a foundation for understanding the meaning of happiness and expressing related ideas in English. At this stage, students are full of curiosity and enthusiasm for new knowledge. They are eager to show themselves and gain recognition from teachers and classmates, so they are likely to actively participate in classroom activities. They also have a strong associative ability, which can help them connect the content in class with their own experiences when exploring the methods to obtain happiness. When it comes to designing a page to introduce the methods of obtaining happiness, students may encounter difficulties in using accurate and vivid English expressions. They may struggle with complex sentence structures and appropriate vocabulary choices. Also, comprehensively understanding the profound meaning of happiness might be a challenge for them as it requires deeper thinking and language proficiency to articulate abstract ideas.

1.Search for information and decide which ways to be happy you will include in your book page. Step1:Students work in groups and search for information about ways to be happy and consider: (1)What makes you happy (2)How can we help others be happy (3)What is your advice for unhappy people Evaluate students' understanding of the previously learned content by observing their ability to articulate key concepts and apply vocabulary in context during interactive discussions.
设计意图:通过小组合作搜索关于获得幸福方法的信息并思考相关问题 。一方面,能激发学生对幸福话题的兴趣,使其积极主动参与课堂,在讨论 “什么让自己幸福” 时,联系自身生活经验,唤醒已有知识储备;另一方面,在探讨 “如何帮助他人幸福” 以及 “给不快乐的人的建议” 时,锻炼学生的口语表达和批判性思维能力,为理解幸福的意义做铺垫,同时也为后续设计介绍获得幸福方法的书页积累思路和素材,帮助学生克服输出准确、生动英文表达及理解幸福深层含义的预期困难。
2.Organize your ideas and make a book page. Step2: 1.Students learn the framework for making a page. 2.With the teacher's help, students sort out the sentence patterns needed for making a page. Observes the students' activities to find out whether they can express themselves using the core vocabulary, sentence patterns and grammar of this unit. Pay attention to the groups with weaker abilities and provide some question scaffolds appropriately.
设计意图:通过让学生学习制作书页的框架,能帮助七年级学生构建清晰的思维逻辑,引导他们有条理地组织信息,这对于培养他们的信息整合与规划能力至关重要。在教师帮助下梳理制作书页所需句型,一方面能巩固和强化学生已有的英语语法知识,提升他们对语言结构的理解和运用能力;另一方面,为学生后续实际制作书页提供必要的语言支撑,使他们在表达关于幸福的方法和意义时更准确、流畅,克服语言表达方面的困难,从而更好地完成教学目标,全面理解幸福的意义并通过设计书页进行呈现 。
3.Practise and present your book page to the class and vote on the best three ones. Step 3: Students practise and present their book page to the class. Step 4:Students vote on the best three book pages and the best three presentations. Judge students’ internalization of the language learned in this unit and their understanding of the thematic meaning of the unit.
设计意图:在 Step 3 中,学生将自己制作的书页向全班展示,这能锻炼他们的表达能力和自信心,使其在实际运用中巩固对知识的理解,同时还能从同学的反馈中进一步完善自己的作品。而 Step 4 里的投票环节,能够激发学生的竞争意识,激励他们在制作书页和准备展示时更加用心。通过评选最佳书页和最佳展示,还能让学生相互学习,看到他人的优点,从而促进共同进步,提升整体的学习效果。
4.Reflect on what you have learned in this unit. Step 5: 1.Students review the three sub - topics of this unit again and summarize the thematic meaning of this unit and independently complete the mind map of this unit. 2.Students reflect on their learning achievements according to the learning objectives. 3.Students reflect on which areas still need improvement. Evaluate students' overall mastery of this unit based on their summaries. Provide targeted reinforcement for areas where they are lacking.
设计意图:在 Step 5 的设计中,让学生再次回顾三个子话题并总结单元主题意义,能够帮助学生梳理单元知识体系,从整体上把握知识之间的联系,加深对核心内容的理解。独立完成思维导图,有助于培养学生的自主学习能力和逻辑思维能力,将零散的知识结构化,从而强化记忆和理解。依据学习目标反思学习成果,能让学生明确自身的学习进度和收获,增强学习的成就感与自信心。而反思有待提高的地方,能够引导学生进行自我评估,发现学习中的薄弱环节,以便在后续学习中更有针对性地进行改进,提升学习效果 。
