A king got an elephant as a gift. He asked a trainer to train it well and feed it well.
At an important festival, the king rode the elephant around his country, many people got around him, watching the elephant and shouting, “Elephant King! Elephant King!” The king felt that people liked the elephant more than him and got unhappy about it.
After that, the king asked the trainer, “Can the elephant dance on the edge (边缘) of a mountain ” The trainer said, “Yes.” The king then ordered the elephant to dance like that the next day.
The next day, the trainer brought the elephant to the edge and danced. Then the king asked if the elephant could stand on three legs. The elephant quickly lifted (抬起) one leg. The king then asked it to stand on two legs, and the elephant did it. Finally, the king asked it to dance with one leg. When the elephant did so, all the people got excited. That made the king unhappier. He asked it to lift all four legs! The trainer knew the king wanted the elephant to die, so he told it to run away.
Soon, the king calmed down (冷静) and knew how bad he was to be jealous of (嫉妒) an elephant.

Once upon a time, in a faraway country, there was a brave king. This king had lost his leg and an eye during a war. Although he had these great challenges, his smartness and kindness made him a great and beloved king in his country.
27 In that moment, he thought about his own children and how they would one day see his picture too. With this in mind, he really wanted his picture to be painted perfectly. However, because of his physical problems, the king was not sure about what the painting would be like. So, he decided to invite a group of famous painters to the palace. 28 All the painters began to wonder how they could paint the king. Soon, they realized that it was an really difficult task. They were afraid that if the picture did not make the king happy and pleased, they would lose their lives. 29 Just when it seemed hopeless, one painter bravely raised his hand and said that he wanted to give it a try. 30 The king happily agreed. And the painter began to draw and color the picture with great care. After a few days, the picture was finally finished.
