教学设计
一、教材分析
外研版7年级英语下册Module 9 Life history 共三个单元, 本节课是第九模块第一单元,首先以对话的形式介绍了马克.吐温及其代表作《汤姆.索耶历险记》.选材和编写目的主要有两个: 一是向学生介绍名家,马克吐温是世界著名的小说家、幽默大师,也是美国现实主义文学家的杰出代表;二是引导学生阅读名著,马克吐温的《汤姆.索耶历险记》是非常适合初中生阅读的作品,它描写的是少年儿童追求新奇、冒险的生活,这会深深吸引这个阶段的孩子,对话的编写也蕴含着教材作者的良苦用心,除了在短短的对话中介绍马克吐温主要的人生经历外,还以同龄人的口吻让中国学生了解到英美很多学生都读过这本书,而且很喜欢。此外,编者还意识的向学生呈现英美学生长做的功课---写报告。
第二单元是读写课,阅读课文是传记文体,本模块以生活经历为话题,主要以英国著名剧作家莎士比亚的生活经历为题材,通过学习,使学生了解这位一代文学巨匠。
本模块的主要语法是一般过去时,教学重点是通过对个人或他人过去经历的描述,重点学习本模块中出现的重点词汇、短语、固定搭配和句型。
课前准备一些节日和马克?吐温以及莎士比亚的的图片和资料,让学生在时讨论和观看。
学情分析
初一学生在下学期已经有一定学习能力,并掌握了大量的词汇,语言表达能力较初一上学期有所增强。但是,有部分学生开始出现厌学情绪,有一部分学生基础知识掌握不牢,缺乏学习兴趣及动力。 因此在设计教学环节时,要顾及这些成绩稍差的学生,降低难度,由易到难,由浅入深,慢慢调动他们参与的积极性。
三、教学方法
以说为主要教学方式,以任务型教学为主要方法,通过同桌讨论和小组以及全班讨论,让每个学生充分练习口语和说的能力,并将听说读写有机地贯穿一体。设立一些语言环境,结合故事和人物经历,最后一起学习重难点,为突破重难点做一些课堂和课后的练习。
四、 学习目标
1. 语言知识目标:掌握下列单词与短语 January, August, April, September, October, Teachers’ Day, JulyFebruary, Women’s Day, ChristmasMarch National Day Children’s Day
2. 语言技能目标:
1)能听懂谈论过去经历的简短对话,获取事情发生的准确时间。
2)能用一般过去时询问和回答过去的经历和事情。
3)能够做简短的report。
3. 情感目标:通过本模块的学习和对马克吐温的了解,培养对文学的兴趣和对文学家的崇敬之情。
4. 教学重点:1. 本单元关于月份和节日的新单词新短语。
2. 马克.吐温的人生介绍。
教学难点:1. 用did 询问问题。
2. 不规则动词的过去式。
五、教学过程:
( 课前活动:课代表领读本单元的单词,熟悉单词发音)
Step1:学习并检查新单词
活动: 比一比看谁反应快。 该活动为英汉互译,内容为十二个月的英语和汉语,每个单词闪烁一下,看哪个学生能又快又准确翻译出所现单词或汉语。
(目的:活跃气氛,同时检查所学单词的掌握情况,又进一步巩固所学单词,为下面的听力扫除障碍。)
Step2:导入
1.Give Ss two pictures and ask “What are they doing? Why” 引出对节日的学习。
Then give some pictures of festivals to students. Let them watch. Let them discuss in groups and tell me how to say these festivals in English. I can ask my students: What are the festivals in English?
