考点 辨析alone与lonely
(1)alone既可作副词,也可作形容词,意为“独自(的);单独(的)”,侧重于说明独自一人,指客观情况。
(2)lonely作形容词,意为“孤独的;寂寞的”,侧重于表明主观感
受。
如:Although he lives alone,he doesn't feel lonely.尽管他独自一人居住,但是他没有感觉到孤独。
考点 cheer的用法
cheer作动词,意为“欢呼;喝彩”。常用短语:
(1)cheer for sb.为某人加油
(2)cheer up动词短语,意为“(使)变得更高兴;振奋起来”,可单独使用,也可跟宾语。cheer sb.up意为“使某人振作起来”。
(3)cheer on鼓励;为某人打气/加油
考点 give out的用法
give out意为“分发;散发”,相当于hand out,是“动词+副词”型短语,当名词作其宾语时可位于动词与副词之间,也可位于副词之后;当代词作其宾语时只能位于动词与副词之间。
【拓展】give out的其他含义:
(1)意为“发出,放出(热、光、声音、气味等)”。
如:The sun gives out light and heat.太阳放出光和热。
(2)意为“用完;耗尽;精疲力竭”。

put off意为“推迟;拖延”,后常接名词、代词或动名词作宾语。

care for意为“照顾;照料”,相当于look after或take care of,其宾语常为表示人的名词或代词。

(2)care about意为“关心;关注;在乎”,指对某人表示关怀或者由于某事重要或因为责任而关注。
