考点 make的用法
(1)“make it+形容词(+for sb.)+to do sth.”意为“使做某事(对某人来说)是……的”,在此结构中it作形式宾语,真正的宾语是后面的动词不定式。
如:The spaceship makes it possible to travel to the moon.宇宙飞船使到月球旅行成为可能。
【拓展】具有类似用法的动词还有feel,find,consider,think等。
如:I feel it possible to get there before eight.我觉得八点前到达那
里是有可能的。
I think it easy to make up a sentence with the word.我认为用这个单词造句很简单。
(2)make a difference to…意为“对……有影响/起作用”。除不定冠
词a外,difference前还可以用no,some,much等词修饰。
如:The rain didn't make much difference to the game.这场雨对比赛没有很大的影响。
考点 blind的用法
形容词,意为“瞎的;失明的”,其修饰的主语是人而非眼睛。
如:The man is blind in the right eye.这个人右眼瞎了。
【拓展】blind与定冠词the连用构成the blind,指代“盲人”这一类人。作主语时,谓语动词通常用复数形式。
如:The blind also have books to read now.盲人现在也有书可读。
考点 difficulty的用法
意为“难题”时,作可数名词;意为“困难”时,既可作可数名词,又可作不可数名词。常见用法have difficulty (in) doing sth.相当于have problems/trouble (in) doing sth.,意为“做某事有困难”,doing前的in可以省略。
如:I had difficulty (in) working out the math problems.我解决这些数学问题有困难。
考点 辨析bring,take,fetch,get与carry
bring“带来;拿来”,指把人或物从别处带到说话人所在的地方;take“带走;拿走”,指把人或物从说话人所在的地方带到别处去;fetch“(去)拿来”,指从说话者所在的地方到别处去把人或物带
回到说话者所在的地方;get与fetch同义,但比fetch口语化;carry表示“抱;扛;提;运”等,含有“负重”之意,不表示动作的方向,一般指随身携带。
【注意】go与fetch不能连用,因为fetch相当于go and get/bring back。

What would it be like to be blind or deaf Or imagine you can’t walk or use your hands easily. Most people would never think about this, but many people have these difficulties. I can’t use my arms or legs well, so normal things like answering the telephone, opening and closing doors, or carrying things are difficult for me. Then one day last year, a friend of mine helped me out. She talked to Animal Helpers about getting me a special trained dog. She also thought a dog might cheer me up. I love animals and I was excited about the idea of having a dog.
