(1)neither作限定词，意为“两者都不的”，修饰单数名词。
如：Neither answer is right.两个答案都不对。
(2)neither作副词，意为“也不”，常用于“neither＋be动词/情态动词/助动词＋主语”结构中，意为 “……也不”。
如：Amy can't swim.Neither can I．埃米不会游泳。我也不会。
(3)neither作代词，意为“两者都不”，后面常接of短语。
如：Neither of them have/has a car.他们两个都没有汽车。
【辨析】both，either，neither，all与none
①both表示“两者都”，常用短语：both…and…“……和……两者
都”；both of“两者都”。
②either表示“两者中的任何一个”，常用短语：either…or…“或者……或者……；要么……要么……”。

④all表示“三者或三者以上的人或物都”。

意为“一……就……”，引导时间状语从句时，主句用一般将来时，从句用一般现在时表示将来，即遵循“主将从现”原则。
