I belive that children should do some chores at home. I disagree that children’s only job is study hard and do well at school. Of course it is important for children to study hard. However, I think it is unfair for children to expect their parents to work hard outside and do all the household chores, too. I think children should at least do some simple chores to help their busy parents. For example, they should make their own beds
and clean their own rooms because they are the ones who use these. They may not have time to help with the other parts of the house, but they should try to be responsible for their own areas. This will help them to grow up to be independent and responsible adults.

There is no need for sb.to do sth.意为“对于某人来说，没必要做某事”。其中need用作不可数名词，意为“需要，必要”。
need作情态动词，表示“需要”或“必须”，通常用于否定句和疑问句中。
need 作实义动词，意思是“需要”，其后可跟名词，代词，动名词或动词不定式。
2．Doing chores helps to develop children's independence and teaches them how to look after themselves.做家务能帮着发展孩子们的独立性，也能教他们如何照顾自己。
(1) doing chores 动名词作主语，谓语动词用单三形式。

考点 I think it is important for children to learn how to do chores and help their parents with housework.我认为孩子们学会如何做家务和帮助父母做家务是重要的。
“It is＋形容词＋for sb．＋to do sth.”意为“对某人来说做某事是……的”。该结构是it作形式主语，真正的主语是后面的动词不定式。文中类似结构的句子还有：It is not enough to just get good grades at school.仅仅在学校取得好成绩是不够的。
考点 the＋比较级…，the＋比较级…越……越……
表示两者同时发生变化，其中一个事物的增加或减少会导致另一个事物的增加或减少，其中的比较级既可以是形容词，也可以是副词。
