Once upon a time, a happy paper doll had no face. His whole body was perfect, except for his face. However, he had a pencil to draw whatever face he wanted to have. How lucky! He asked everyone, “What’s a perfect face like ”
“One with a big beak (鸟嘴),” answered the birds.
“No. Not one with a beak,” said the trees. “The perfect face has leaves.”
“Forget the beak and the leaves,” shouted the flowers. “A perfect face should have beautiful colors.”
And so everyone he met—animals, plants, the sea, mountain…—told him to draw his face with their features and colors. The doll took all of their suggestions. Then he had a face. However, nobody liked it.
“I only wanted a face that everyone would like.” the doll cried.
A cloud heard his cries and came, “Hello, I think I can help you. As I’m a cloud and do not have a shape, I can make any face you like. What do you think about me changing faces until the one that you like appears ”
The doll again felt hopeful. The cloud made different faces for him. But none was perfect.
“Never mind,” said the doll. “You’ve been a great friend.” He gave the cloud a big hug, and the cloud smiled. Just then, the doll jumped excitedly, “That’s it! It’s a perfect face!”
“Which one ” asked the cloud, “but I haven’t done anything.”
“Yes, you have! It’s that face you made when I hugged you!”
The cloud finally realized he meant her big smile. And together, they drew the doll a big smile. And that face was the only one that everyone liked, because it had the secret of perfect faces: a big smile that came from the heart and could never be erased.

Electric cars have been around for more than a hundred years. But they have really been popular over the last ten years. More than three million all-electric cars are now on the road worldwide.
Helping the Environment
Most cars run on oil. Burning oil and other fossil fuels (化石燃料) produces greenhouse gases. Electric cars don’t burn oil. Instead, strong batteries (电池) run their electric engines. So, electric cars don’t directly produce greenhouse gases.
Poop (粪便) Power
Electric cars are better for the environment, but they are not perfect. Their batteries often use electricity that was made by burning fossil fuels. But an electric car uses less energy than a car that runs on oil. And some may soon come from a new source (来源) — cow poop! An electric car company has worked together with a large farm. They plan to make electricity using greenhouse gases from cow poop.

One of the problems for electric cars is their limited range. This is how far they can travel before their batteries need another charge (充电). But now their range is improving. Some new electric cars can travel almost three times as far as older ones did. Another problem is finding a place to recharge the batteries. But these years, people are building more charging stations around. China now has thousands more charging stations than it did ten years ago.
