单元 教材 分析 本单元以历史和传统为主题展开,涉及中国、英国、俄罗斯、爱尔兰、巴西、希腊、埃及等多个国家的悠久历史和文化传统等内容。这些国家在悠久的历史文化中,孕育了一些特有的文化传统和风俗习惯。了解这些历史和传统,对学生理解英语语言、世界重要文明的历史文化内涵及其蕴含的思维方式,具有重要的意义。

导入 Step 1. Lead in Ask students to discuss the fellowing questions Q 1: Look and discuss about the opening page. Q2: Why is it important to protect historic buildings and cultural traditions Possible answers:It is important to protect historic buildings and cultural traditions because they are a record of our shared history and tell us a lot about who we are as a country and people. Ask srudents try to introduce Confucius in English
新课教学 Step 2 Share views on historic sites Before listening, get the Ss to look at some photos of Qufu in Activity 1 on Page 38. And ask “What can you say about these places ” Possible answers: These places were built to honour the ancient Chinese educator, thinker and philosopher Confucius. They are in Qufu, Shandong province , which has become now one of the most famous tourist attractions. Get the Ss to discuss in groups, and then ask several volunteers to share their views with the class. Step3 Before listening
1. Look at the pictures above and predict what the content is about.
It is about introduction about Confucius and even may be his influence to the Chinese culture and development.
