Museums are calls of history that go beyond time and space. They preserve valuable historical, educational treasures, and a platform for connecting the past, present and future. No wonder they have been attracting an increasing number of people of late, people who are eager to experience culture firsthand. To meet the personalized needs of visitors, some new methods, models and content have come out, leading to a rise in “museum tourism”.
Technologies like naked-eye 3D and XR glasses are becoming important for interaction(互动), in order to enrich museum visitors’ experience. In July, the Shandong Art Museum held the “Infinite Sea” immersive (沉浸式) AI digital art show, the first art show about the sea in China, to use a new AI-generated content model, offering an immersive experience.
Travel for young people is becoming increasingly personalized, as they focus not only the travel destination but also the purpose of the journey, making “why travel” more important than “where to travel”. For example, ideas such as “brave people enjoy the world first”, finding eye-catching exhibition(展品) in museums and taking “life photos” show that emotional satisfaction is becoming a key factor in making travel decisions.
The recent success of Black Myth: Wukong has led to a tourism fever, with visitors becoming the “chosen ones” and going on journeys through historical and cultural sites. The Datong Museum in Shanxi province has connected modernity with past, and art with history, creating many unique cultural products.
Some museums have begun experimenting with “digital-human” guides to encourage the visitors to shift from passive listening to active interaction, thus adding a high-tech touch to cultural exchanges.
1. Why does the author mention the Shandong Art Museum in paragraph 2
A. It is China’s first art show about the sea. B. It provides an interactive experience using AI.

Girl pupils at Isagenhe Secondary School in Nzega District, Tanzania, have praised the Arudi Shule project for helping them overcome their educational challenges. Carried out by the Msichana Initiative (倡议), the project supports schoolchildren with necessary supplies, as well as emotional and counseling (咨询) support for girls who return to school.
Jane Chembo, a form three pupil, said that many students do not have necessary supplies such as school uniforms and notebooks. However, since the project’s introduction, many have become more focused on their studies. She added that parents in the community (社区) often prefer to marry off their daughters for a better future, creating excuses like inability to afford school supplies to prevent them from continuing their education.
The Msichana Initiative through the Arudi Shule project, has been providing necessary supplies, including bicycles for students living far from school. Anastazia Adamu shared her struggle with attending school due to the long distance. After receiving a bicycle, she has been able to attend regularly.
Rosemary Batoba, a project officer, reported that the Arudi Shule project has helped200 students by providing different school supplies. Girls intending to return to school often face economic challenges, as well as health and safety issues.
Jacob Maduki, a programme officer, pointed out that Msichana Initiative is running six projects in the region, whose purpose is to help students achieve their educational goals and enable them to recognize and fight back violence (暴力) and child marriage. The community is beginning to understand the harmful effects of out-of-date beliefs, particularly the idea that a girl’s only purpose is to get married.
Jumanne Juma, the school headmaster, admitted that the community has low awareness of the importance of girls’ education, leading to high dropout rates. Bicycles are important for students walking long distances to school, but parents often refuse to repair when they break down, keeping them from receiving education.
4. Why does the Arudi Shule project provide supplies for girl students
A. To meet their emotional needs. B. To improve their living conditions.
C. To help girls continue their education. D. To reduce the family’s economic pressure.
5. What can be inferred from paragraph 5
A. Child marriage has been stopped. B. The projects are quite welcomed.
C. Parents have given up their old beliefs. D. The initiative helps girls in many ways.
6. Which best describes the effect of the Arudi Shule project
A. Fruitless. B. Unclear. C. Surprising. D. Positive.

Conversations are like two-way streets: we take turns speaking and listening. While we often focus on what we say, there’s something effective in the act of listening. It can build trust, strengthen social relationships, and deepen our understanding of the world around us. So, it’s no surprise that when we think of listening, positive words like trust, respect, understanding and growth come to mind.
But here’s where it gets difficult — being a good listener isn’t easy. It can cause emotional tiredness, especially in tough conversations. Think about the last time someone expressed their disappointment or shared their pain with you. How did you feel
My co-workers and I recently explored the downsides of listening in a study with school teachers. We found the more effort teachers put into listening, the more they reported feeling burned out.
Why does this happen For teachers, listening isn't just about hearing words — it also means taking in their students’ emotional challenges, disappointments and struggles, especially when teachers feel responsible for solving problems they may have no way or time to deal with. Over time, this emotional pressure increases, leading to burnout finally.
And this isn’t just a problem for teachers, it affects all of us. Whether we're parents, partners, friends, or co-workers, we all find ourselves in situations where we have to listen to others’ worries and stresses since we' re continuously connected and expected to be there for others.
So, how can we listen without burning out
First focus on listening without planning your response. This keeps you there and allows the speaker to feel truly heard. Second, understand that sometimes just listening is beneficial — don’t feel responsible to fix the problem unless you’re asked for advice. Finally, don't always feel like you have to respond or paraphrase. While paraphrasing can be helpful in many situations, when someone is sharing a really bad experience, like the loss of a loved one, mirroring those emotions back to them may only deepen their pain.
7. What can listening bring us according to paragraph 1
A. Physical growth. B. Good relationship. C. Economic support. D. Professional knowledge.
8. What does the underlined word “downsides” in paragraph 3 mean
A. Methods. B. Results. C. Challenges. D. Disadvantages.
9. In the study, why did teachers feel burnout
A. They failed to understand students’ struggles.
B. They were forced to solve students’ challenges.
C They heard too many students’ emotional problems.
D. They suffered growing stress for not helping students out.
10. What is suggested for listening
A. Listen without doing anything else. B. Repeat someone’s problem to themselves.
C. Solve the speaker’s problem immediately. D. Think about your answer while listening.
第二节 (共5小题;每小题3分,满分15分)
阅读下面短文,从短文后的选项中选出能填入空白处的最佳选项。选项中有两项为多余选项。
With the increasing popularity of social websites and personal online blogs, the act of oversharing has become more common. ___11___ Telling a co-worker you don’t want a piece of birthday cake may be acceptable, but adding the fact you’re on a diet to lose 50 pounds would be oversharing. Here are some reasons that lead to oversharing.
Some oversharing is the result of a poorly developed social filter or “shut up button.” A mother may feel comfortable oversharing details of the birthing process with co-workers, for example, not realizing she is making others feel uncomfortable. ___12___
Sometimes, oversharing is an attempt to break the ice or build closeness by sharing small embarrassing moments. ___13___ However, there are still some lines which should not be crossed. For example, an employer should not share personal details with an employee, because their relationship includes a level of respect for the employer’s authority. Oversharing can in turn do harm to their relation.
___14___ Those with few friends may see co-workers or strangers as family, sharing more than proper. While it may not be acceptable to tell too much information to strangers, it may feel acceptable to overshare with co-workers at lunch or the friendly cashier at a local restaurant. Some people feel a level of closeness which does not actually exist, but it is not real at all.
___15___ We should avoid sharing too much with those who are not expecting it.
A. Oversharing results from a need for attention.
B. Another cause for oversharing is having no close friends.
C. This form of oversharing may have some immediate benefits.
D. Some people may not realize the effect of their oversharing on others.
E. While some oversharing is socially acceptable, it’s wise to think twice.
F. Oversharing means sharing too much personal information with other people.
G. Once it happens, it becomes difficult to erase those images from others’ minds.

【答案】范文:
Dear David,
Hi! I’m glad to share with you one of my experiences in an after class activity since I entered senior high school. I joined the school photography club, which has brought me a lot of joy and growth.
At first, I knew little about photography. But with the help of teachers and senior club members, I learned basic skills like adjusting the aperture and shutter speed. We often went on field trips to capture beautiful sceneries. One time, we visited an old town. I focused on an ancient temple and tried different angles. Finally, I took a photo that perfectly showed the temple’s solemnity against the setting sun.
This activity has not only improved my photography skills but also broadened my horizons. I’ve met many friends with the same interest, and we exchange ideas and learn from each other. Moreover, it has taught me to observe the world with a more sensitive eye and discover the beauty in the ordinary. I really enjoy this after class activity and look forward to more wonderful experiences in the club.
Yours,
Li Hua
