一、考点综述
告知信是历年高考书面表达的热门话题，就是告知对方想要了解的事情和情况。告知的内容比较广泛：如安排计划、课外活动、广告信息、个人情况、旅游介绍等。写告知信时，应该注意语言的简洁、准确，准确无误地表达重点信息，把告知信所涉及的事由、时间、地点以及事项交代清楚。
二、典型示范
假定你是李华，你正在教你的英国朋友Leslie学习汉语。请你写封邮件告知下次上课的计划。内容包括：
1.时间和地点；
2.内容为学习唐诗；
3.课前准备包括简要了解唐朝的历史。
注意：1.词数不少于100；2.可以适当增加细节，以使行文连贯。
1.【告知信结构以及实例说明】
Dear Leslie,
（简单介绍写作背景）I'm glad that you have made great progress in Chinese learning. You know it isn’t easy to learn a foreign language. But you are so confident and never give up whenever you meet with difficulties. I'm sure you will succeed through your hard work.
（阐明写信目的）I am writing to tell you that our next Chinese class is scheduled for next Saturday. （告知具体事宜）You are supposed to arrive at Room 301 before 2 pm. You are to learn about Tang Poetry, which is a very important part of Chinese culture and history. You will read some famous poems and learn about some well-known poets, like Li Bai, Du Fu and so on.
By the way, you’d better get a brief idea of the history of the Tang Dynasty beforehand so that you can have a better understanding of the poems that we will learn.

第二步:列提纲 （结构、重点词组、句型）
（1）布局段落，确定主要段落，次要段落，段落数量。这篇写作段落数量为三段。第一段，写信的目的（原因、背景）。第二段:成人礼活动内容(成长点滴回顾，观看校友抗疫事迹录像等)。第三段:对活动的感受；对自己未来的展望。
（2）确定关键词汇和短语。
（3）确定较为高级的句子。
第三步:连句成文，注意使用恰当的连接词进行过渡衔接:After that, besides, however.
第四步:注意书写，保持卷面整洁，避免划线，乱擦。
