I’ve ever been to is the American Computer
Museum. They have information about
different computers and who invented them.
The old computers were much bigger. It’s
unbelievable that technology has progressed in such a rapid way! I’ve also learned that there was a special computer. It could play chess even better than humans. I wonder how much more computers will be able to do in the future.
Amy: I’ve recently been to a very
unusual museum in India, the
International Museum of Toilets. I
just couldn’t believe my eyes when I
saw so many different kinds of toilets there. The museum teaches people about the history and development of toilets. It also encourages governments and social groups to think about ways to improve toilets in the future.
Linlin: Last year I went to the China National Tea Museum. It’s a relaxing and peaceful place near a lake. The tea art performances show how to make a perfect cup of tea with beautiful tea
sets. Watching the tea preparation is just as enjoyable as drinking the tea itself. I’ve finally realized why my grand-pa loves drinking tea and collecting tea sets.

rapid是正式用语，只用作形容词，语气较强，常用于表示抽象意义的“快速的”。
fast 既可用作形容词，又可用作副词。
它主要指人或物体本身的速度快或动作快。
quick 既可用作形容词，又可用作副词。
它既可指速度快，也可指反应快、动作敏捷。

invent “发明；创造”，指创造发明出新的、原来并不存在的东西
discover “发现”，指发现或偶然发现原本存在的、但一直未被认识或不为人知的东西
考点 unusual的用法
形容词，意为“不寻常的；特别的”。它是由usual加否定前缀un 派生而来。
【拓展】un ＋形容词＝否定意义的形容词。un 表示“不；未；无；相反；解除”之意。
如：known(出名的)→unknown(无名的；不为人所知的)
tidy(整洁的；整齐的)→untidy(不整洁的；凌乱的)
kind(和善的)→unkind(冷酷的；不客气的)

(1)“It's unbelievable that＋句子”意为“……(事实)是难以置信的”，是一个由形式主语it引导的主语从句，真正的主语that从句放在句末。
(2)progress不及物动词，意为“进步；进展”。如果表示“在某方面取得进步”，应用介词in。
如：We are progressing in knowledge.我们的知识正在增长。
【拓展】progress还可作不可数名词，意为“进步；进展；前进”。常用短语：
make (great) progress(in…)(在……方面)取得(很大)进步

动词，意为“收集；采集”。
【拓展】(1)collection是collect的名词形式，意为“收藏品”。
