内容分析:
该部分为语法部分,内容是动词不定式(infinitives)作主语,教材所设计的 活动内容均与本单元的主题“健康的生活方式 ”相关。
该部分的三个练习体现了从感知语法现象,发现语法形式表达的意义和功能, 到完成控制性的书面操练,再到真实语境中正确选用目标语言结构的语法学习过 程。练习 1 呈现了动词不定式作主语的例子,让学生感知动词不定式的结构,然 后让学生从阅读文本中找到包含动词不定式的句子,讨论动词不定式在句子中的 意义和功能。由于课文中动词不定式作主语、表语、宾语、定语、状语、形容词 补语等多种句子成分,学生在寻找和讨论的过程中既能复习旧知识,也能充分了 解新语法点,还能对动词不定式的用法有一个全面的了解。练习2 是一个连词成 句的活动,要求学生把一个个弧立的单词或词组按一定的顺序组合成有意义的句 子,再根据语义关系把所有句子组成一个段落。学生可根据需要添加额外的句子, 使段落主旨明确、语义连贯、前后衔接。学生在模仿示例连词成句时,也在思考 该句是否表达一定的意义,从而将动词不定式的形式与意义紧密结合起来。从词 到句、从句到篇的意义建构过程有助于学生深入体会动词不定式作主语的形式和 用法。练习 3 由谈论健康生活方式的四组小对话组成,这些小对话展现了动词不 定式在真实语言交际中的各种用法。该活动要求学生结合语境正确运用所给短语 完成对话,一方面是为了帮助学生综合巩固动词不定式的各项功能和用法,另一 方面也是复习和巩固所学词块。
在教材的附录部分 104 页,总结了动词不定式作主语、动词不定式作表语和 “疑问词+不定式 ”的形式及用法,并提供了有一定代表性的例句供学生学习。 在本节课中,会有其中的部分例句加入教学中,用以让学生观察句子并归纳动词 不定式的特点和用法。
学情分析:
广州电视课堂是由广州市教育局为全市中小学生提供的线上教育服务,本课 面向全市的学生,学生基础不一。通过初中阶段以及前面册次中动词不定式作表 语、宾语、宾补、定语、状语等用法的学习,学生对动词不定式有一定的认识, 但对于动词不定式作主语的概念还不十分清晰,学生运用动词不定式进行表达的 能力也有待提高。本课旨在帮助学生建构与完善动词不定式作主语的结构化知识, 并能够在语境中恰当使用。
教学目标:
学生通过本课时的学习,能够:
1. 理解动词不定式用作主语的功能和意义;
2. 结合语境正确运用动词不定式进行表达;
3. 使用不定式进一步讨论形成健康生活方式的一些方法。
教学重点与难点:
1. 引导学生探究和归纳动词不定式作主语的语法特点。

Activity 2 * Ss study the sentences of Exercise 1 on Page 17 of the textbook and analyse the italicized infinitives. * T asks the following questions to lead Ss to think: (1) What are the functions of the infinitives in the sentences (2) Why are “it”s used in the sentences * T shows an example of changing the sentence “To change bad habits is never easy” to another structure “It is never easy to change bad habits” . To present how infinitives are used as the subjects to Ss. To present the sentence structures of infinitives used as the subjects. 3 min
Practice
Activity 3 * Ss change the sentence structures by following T’s example. To help Ss consolidate what they have just learned. 1 min
Activity 4 * Ss look for more sentences with infinitives used as the subjects in the text on Page 14~ 15. * Ss study these sentences and then change their sentence structures. * Ss put the sentences into Chinese and then re-translate them into English. To help Ss better understand infinitives used as the subjects and to compare the difference between Chinese and English while using infinitives. 2 min

Activity 5 * T shows some sentences on Page 104 of the textbook: 1) To change bad habits is never easy. 2) To help others gives a person satisfaction. 3) To prevent harmful habits like these from dominating a teenager’s life is essential. * Ss observe and summarize the grammatical rule: when infinitives are used as the subjects, the predicate verbs are singular. To lead Ss to pay attention to the predicate verbs of infinitives as the subjects. 3 min
Practice
Activity 6 *Ss finish Exercise 2 on Page 17. They are supposed to join the words to make full sentences and then join the sentences to make a coherent short passage. To offer Ss chances to practise using infinitives in context. 2 min
Presentation and Practice
Activity 7 *Ss observe the sentences with “wh- + infinitive”, analyse the sentences and find out the grammar point of using infinitive phrases. *Ss do some exercise to consolidate how to use “what + infinitive” . To supplement the knowledge of infinitives. 5 min
*Ss do some exercise and compare the difference between gerunds as the subjects and infinitives as the subjects.
Production
Activity 8 *Ss complete the conversations (Exercise 3 on P17) and discuss how to lose weight with each other. To lead Ss use infinitives in real situations. 4 min
