Most people, when they travel to space, would like to stay in orbit for a few days of more. And this stands to reason, if you're paying $20,000 for your trip to orbit! Strain order for tourism to reach its full potential there's going to be a need for orbital accommodation—or space hotels. What would a space hotel actually be like to visit Hotels in orbit will offer the services you expect from a hotel—private rooms, meals, bars. But they'll also offer two unique experiences: impressive views—of Earth and space—and the endless entertainment of living in zero gravity—including sports and other activities that make use of this. The hotels themselves will vary greatly—from being quite simple in the early days to huge luxury structure at a later date. It's actually surprising that as later as 1997, very few designs for space hotels were published. This is mainly because those who might be expected to design them haven't expected launch costs to come down far enough to make them possible.
Lots of people who've been to space have described vividly what it's like to live in zero gravity. There are obviously all sort of possibilities for dancing, gymnastics, and zero-G sports. Luckily, you don't need to sleep much living in zero gravity, so you'll have plenty of time for relaxing by hanging out in a bar with a window looking down at the turning Earth below.
Of course all good things have come to an end, unfortunately. And so after a few days you'll find yourself heading back enough you'll be much more expert at exercising in zero gravity than you were when you arrived. You'll be thinking how soon you can save up enough to get back up again—or maybe you should change jobs to get to work in an orbiting hotel.

Solar energy for your home is coming. It can help you as a single home owner. It can help the whole country as well. Whether or not solar energy can save your money depends on many things. Where you live is one factor. The type of home you have is another. Things like insulation(绝缘) present energy costs and the type of system you buy are added factors.
Using solar energy can help save our precious fuel. As you know, our supplies of oil and gas are very limited. There is just not enough on hand to meet all our future energy needs. And when Mother Nature says that's all, the only way we can delay hearing those words is by starting to save energy now and by using other sources, like the sun.
We won't have to worry about the sun's running out of energy for another several billion years or so. Besides begin an endless source of energy, the use of the sun has other advantages as well. The sun doesn't offer as many problems as other energy sources. For example, fossil fuel plants add to already high pollution levels. With solar energy, we will still need sources of energy, but we won't need as much. That means we can cut down on our pollution problems.
With all these good points, why don't we use more solar power There are many reasons for this. The biggest reason is money. Until now, it was just not practical for a home owner to put in a solar unit. There were cheaper sources of energy. All this is changing now. Solar costs are starting to equal the costs of oil and electricity. Experts say that gas, oil and electricity prices will continue to rise. The demand for electricity is increasing rapidly. But new power plants will use more gas, oil or coal. Already in some places the supply of electricity is being rationed. Solar energy is now in its infancy. It could soon grow to become a major part of our nation's energy supply.
109. Which statement best expresses the main idea

A. but it will be considered as an important part of our nation's energy supply
B. yet we will build more power plants
C. and the supply of electricity will be rationed

D
Future studies, also known as futurology(未来学) or foresight, involves the study of the past and present to make educated guesses about the future. The data gathered from these studies can be used to predict possible or probable future events or situations. It can also be used to design a way to reach preferable future conditions.
Many people believe that history is cyclical, or that certain circumstances will be seen again and again. This is the principle that future studies are based on. Searching history and present times for patterns can allow future forecasters a way to predict the future. A lot of future studies use cause and effect. For example, if a government is being unjust or is unpopular with the citizens of that country, the current government is either changed or overthrown. This has been hundreds of times throughout history, which will probably be a pattern seen a hundred times more.
There are numerous applications for future studies. One possible application is as a way to predict future fashion and design fads(时尚). The fashion market typically needs to work 18 months in advance, allowing the designers time to design, advertise, and manufacture the future styles. The stock market is another area where futurology is used. Determining which companies are likely to become successful, and which ones are heading for bankruptcy, requires the ability to use future studies correctly.
Some say that future studies can not predict long-term events and trends in the way that it could a decade ago. Global changes in technology, communication, and marketing have resulted in scenarios(情况) that no one could have predicted. Change is happening at a faster pace than ever before in history. It will be difficult to foresee future trends because of these changes. New future studies professionals will need to be able to consider these new trends carefully before creating their predictions.
113. The author starts the article by .
A. telling a story B. offering figures
C. making comparisons D. providing a definition
114. According to the passage, the basis of futurology is .

Text 10
It was raining heavily as I was walking up the hill towards the station at six o'clock on a Saturday morning. At this early hour there wasn't much traffic and there weren't many people in sight.Just as I was crossing the road near the top of the hill a car came around the corner. It was traveling very fast and the driver was obviously having difficulty in controlling it.Suddenly it went off the road, hit a lamp post and turned over.
At once I ran to the car to help the driver, but he was seriously hurt.A young woman hurried into the station and called the First Aid Center while I took care of the driver.A number of other people gathered round the car,but there wasn't a great deal we could do.A policeman arrived a few minutes later and asked me a lot of questions about the accident.Shortly afterwards a bus arrived at high speed and took him away to hospital.
Later,I went to the hospital to see the driver.I was told that his operation had been successful and that he was getting better rapidly.
