According to a survey conducted by our school English newspaper, the concentration of today’s students has been on decline, which arouses much concern. I feel honored to deliver a speech concerning the problem here.

许多因素导致/可以解释这个现象，包括经常接触数码设备，繁重的学校作业以及缺乏足够的锻炼，这可能会分散注意力，削弱我们集中注意的能力。
Many factors contribute to/can account for the phenomenon, including constant exposure to digital devices, heavy schoolwork as well as a shortage of enough exercise, which may cause distraction and weaken our ability to focus.
为了改善这种情况，我们应该牢记专注学业的重要性，并在工作日远离数字设备，以尽量减少其负面影响。此外，在长时间学习时定期休息是有益的，让大脑休息和充电。
To improve the situation, we should bear in mind the importance of focusing on our studies, and keep away from digital devices at weekdays to minimize their negative influence. Besides, it is beneficial to take regular breaks during long periods of studying, allowing the brain to rest and recharge.

Good morning everyone! Today, I’d like to discuss the growing trend of filming short videos on campus. While this activity can be fun and creative, it also encounters some criticism. On the positive side, short videos help us record memorable moments and express ourselves creatively. However, filming without permission may invade others’ privacy, and noisy recordings can disturb peaceful learning environment. To address these issues, I advocate every producer ask for consent/permission before filming others to respect their privacy. Plus, keep quiet in study areas to minimize the negative influence. In conclusion, when shooting short videos, let’s be mindful of how our behavior may affect others, thus making our campus a better place for everyone.
