Second, use body language to show you are listening. 2 Nod your head, smile, and make eye contact with the speaker. These actions will let the speaker know that you are engaged in the conversation.

An Unhappy Experience and How I Overcame It
In my life, there was an experience that made me really unhappy. It was during a group project at school. We were supposed to work together to finish a presentation. However, some of my group members didn't take it seriously. They didn't contribute much and always put off their tasks.
I felt extremely frustrated and angry at that time. I was worried that our project would be a failure because of their attitudes. I tried to talk to them, but they just didn't seem to care.
To make myself feel better, I decided to take the lead. I divided the remaining tasks among the more responsible members and we worked hard together. We spent extra time researching and preparing. In the end, our presentation turned out to be a great success.
Through this experience, I learned that instead of being angry and sad, taking action is the best way to deal with problems. And it really helped me turn my negative feelings around.
