v. 意为“依靠;信赖”,其名词形式为dependence。固定搭配:depend on 依

independence n. 意为“独立”。




“the+比较级+主谓,the+比较级+主谓”
意为“越……就越……”。
如:The higher we stand,the farther we will see.
我们站得越高,就看得越远。




fair
adj.意为“合理的;公正的”。
【拓展】fair加上否定前缀un-,可构成unfair,意为“不合理的;不公正的”;
加上名词后缀-ness,可构成名词fairness,意为“公正性;合理性”;或可构成

sin ce
(1)conj.意为“因为;既然”,引导原因状语从句,常位于句首。
(2)conj.还可意为“从……以后;自……以来”,其引导的时间状语从句常用
一般过去时,主句多用现在完成时。
(3)prep.意为“从……以后;自……以来”,后接表示时间点的词或短语。
(4)adv.意为“从……以后;自……以来”,常与现在完成时连用。




There is no need (for sb.) to do sth.(对某人来说)做某事没有必要。
如:There is no need for us to get up early tomorrow,because it's Sunday.
对我们来说明天没必要早起,因为明天是星期日。
类似的句式还有:
①There is no point in doing sth.做某事没有意义。
②It's no use doing sth.做某事没有用。
③It's no good doing sth.做某事没有好处。




take care of 照顾;处理
take care of 相当于look after,of 和after 都是介词,人称代词作宾语要放在它们
后面。
如果表示“照顾好”则用take good care of…或look after…well,其中good 和well
不要用混。
