on Sunday在星期日
on the morning of May 5 在5月5日早晨

on the afternoon 在那天下午
【辨析】at，on与in
(1)at表示在某一时刻，时间范围最小。
My father goes to work at 7:00 every day．我父亲每天7点去上班。
(2)on比at范围大，指在具体桌一天或具体某一天的上午、下午或晚上。
He was born on June 1．他出生于6月1日。
(3)in表示的范围最大，指在某年或某月等不具体的一个时间。
We often go swimming in July．在7月份我们经常去游泳。
【助记歌诀】年、月、周前要用in，具体日子却要禁。具体几号要用on，上午、下午需用in。说到某日上下午，用on换in要牢记。
