People started to make dumplings from the Late Estern Han Dynasty(东汉末年). Folks have it that a doctor named Zhang Zhongjing (张仲景)saw many poor people suffering from frostbitten ears(冻耳) during the cold winter. So he made a kind of food which were shaped like ears. People ate them and their ears got better. Later, this kind of food gradully envolved into(演变成) today’s dumplings.

can offer energy, protein(蛋白质), vitamins(维生素) and other nutrients(营养物) to us.
