What inspiration can we get from Franklin’s experiment
For many years, schools have taught the story of Franklin’s lightning experiment. More than one generation of school children has been amazed by his bravery and his scientific approach to looking for the truth. Franklin, along with many scientists, has inspired us and taught us that scientific experiments are important in order to establish the truth and to contribute towards later scientific discoveries and inventions.

Why is questioning so important to scientists
Scientists often question accepted ideas because they want to establish the facts. Some have even questioned the story about the apple that fell on Newton’s head and led him to come up with his theory of gravity. In fact, more than one account suggests that while Newton was certainly inspired by a falling apple, there is no proof that it hit them on the head.

Ladies and gentlemen,
Good morning
I am a student who has recently participated in the science festival. Undoubtedly, it is wonderful and educative. Students like me are amazed and inspired by those scientists’ bravery and brilliance. However, I must point out that there is something that needs to be reconsidered.
I think the lightning experiment of Franklin is not 100 percent true. According to the experiment presented in the festival, Franklin touched the key by himself to prove that lightning is a form of electricity. However, the voltage of lightning is about 300 million, which is definitely far beyond the highest voltage a human can bear. We all know that science should respect facts and look for truth. As a student, I should question the accetped ideas.
That’s all, thank you .
