2.实义动词构成的一般过去时常见句式
(1)肯定句:主语+动词的过去式+其他.
Tom arrived in Beijing last night.汤姆昨晚到了北京。
(2)否定句:主语+did not/didn’t+动词原形+其他.
She picked up the big bowl, but she didn’t like it.她拿起了大碗,可是她不喜欢它。
(3)一般疑问句:Did+主语+动词原形+其他?
肯定回答:Yes, 主语+did.
否定回答:No, 主语+didn’t.
—Did she pick up any flowers in the forest?她在森林里摘花了吗?
—Yes, she did./No, she didn’t.是的,她摘了。/不,她没摘。
(4)特殊疑问句:特殊疑问词+一般疑问句?
Where did you watch the movie?你是在哪里看这部电影的?
3.不规则动词的过去式的变化
规则动词变过去式,通常是直接在动词原形后加-ed或者-d,但有些动词并不遵循这一规则,我们称之为不规则动词。由于不规则动词的变化无固定规律可循,因此我们需要不断积累,加强记忆。(编者按:常见的不规则动词及其过去式见《早读材料》。)
除了变化形式不同外,不规则动词一般过去时的肯定句、否定句、一般疑问句以及特殊疑问句都与规则动词的相同,在此就不再赘述。
三、表示过去的时间状语
一般过去时常与表示过去的一些时间状语连用,如: yesterday,last night/week/month/year,last Saturday,the day before yesterday,in 1998, five years ago等。
