One should be modera ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )te in all things. Moderation is always the safest way to do things ,and a virtue we should have .Let’s take the student life for example . There are some students who study too hard and play too little, while there are others who play too much and study too little .On the one hand ,it is harmful to his health if he has too few physical exercises ,and on the other hand ,it is harmful to his mind if he plays too much .
In the matter of eating , one also should be moderate . Do not eat too much or too little .Eating too much will make you sick ,while eating too little will make you week.
The man of progress is he who neither has too high opinion of himself nor thinks too poorly of himself .If he thinks too highly of himself ,he is surely to become very proud ,but if he has too poor an opinion of himself ,he will have no courage to make an advance .Both conditions above will make you lose your aim in life .A broadminded man is he who always moves within the orbit of reasonableness. In any activities in one’s life , moderation is one of the best ways to enjoy real happiness

Mountain lions live i ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )n mountainous areas of the western United States. Lately, however, people have reported seeing them in quiet neighborhoods all across the country! Usually considered shy and seldom seen, these lions are becoming more noticeable. In addition, the lions appear to be moving east. They were even reported in the suburbs of Boston, Philadelphia, and Chicago.
It seems certa ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )in that these "kings of the mountains" are moving. Why Scientists are not sure. Some think that as the mountain lion population increases in the west, younger wild cats are leaving the area. These cats are searching for new homes and new places for food.
"The young males ar ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )e looking for new homes," says Lynn Sadler, who is the director of the Mountain Lion Foundation in Sacramento, Calif. “People tend to create too many barriers , such as buildings, fences, roads, and noise. As the mountain lions seek new places and food and water sources , these barriers get in their way.”
The sightings have made people increasingly watchful. Sometimes the "mountain lions" that people report seeing turn out to be large dogs or even house cats. But at least a few of the meetings have been real. The building of new roads, the growing of suburbs and the growing popularity of outdoor activities are all increasing the chances that people in various parts of the country may meet up with a mountain lion.
Because many people ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com ) are concerned about the reappearance of the American lion, an expert outlined some ways they can avoid attracting the wild cats: Never leave pets or pet food outside; properly care for farm animals; and plan public land use to enable the lions to move safely from one place to another.
"To be fair," says t ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )he expert, "mountain lions are trying to regain their homes. They were here first. Now we need to find ways we can live together."
28. Mountain lions are moving probably because .
A. the suburbs of big cities are peaceful and quiet
B. more roads are being built into the mountains
C. the number of the lions increases in the west
D. young lions are seeking new partners
29 According to the passage, it is clear that .
A. the reported sightings of mountain lions have not been proved
B. people walking in the country may come across a lion
C. fences have been built to protect the lions
D. mountain lions prefer populated areas
30. To avoid attracting mountain lions, people are advised .
A. to build more roads for the lions to move safely
B. to keep a close watch on their farm animals

B. Measures Taken to Avoid Lions
C. Number of Sightings Going Up
D. Mountain Lions Moving West、

Johnson
6-May-2008 Yes, it’s very clear that machine power is better than man power. But machine power has its limitations . It cannot survive without electricity and manhandling. If it doesn’t have these two then it is completely useless. So man should not completely depend on machines. One more point is that because of the use of machines man has become lazy. This laziness has brought in many problems like obesity, arthritis (关节炎) and other health problems. But I am not saying that man should completely turn from ma-chine power to man power. He should have a balance of both. Even I can’t think of life without a car, a computer and a cooler.
Sally
9-May-2008 Humans ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )only created the machines. So, human power is greater than machine power. To do the things quickly we created the machines. But machines cannot think. That thinking power beats machine power.
Tina
17-May-2008 But without humans there is no value of any machine. If someone wants to use his machine perfectly then one must have expert labor or man power.
Tommy
19-May-2008 Hi to a ( http: / / www.21cnjy.com )ll, my opinion is that human power is more powerful than machine power, because human beings created the machines. Human brain works more com-pared to machines.
Mike
20-May-2008 I think human power is better than machine power because even if we travel on foot to near places the money will not be wasted and we can get exercise.
