One evening, after having supper with my parents silently,I finished my homework a little earlier than usual. Seeing my parents still being busy with housework, suddenly, one thought came to my mind,I decided to write a note to Mom and Dad. I was a young teenager and it was the first time that I ever wrote something that wasn't school homework. At that moment,I just wanted to let Mom and Dad know Iloved them, how much they meant to me, and how grateful I was to them for all that they gave to their daughter. Being too shy to say these things face to face, I wrote them down in a note for my parents to find after I went to bed.
Later that night, I heard a gentle knock at my door. Sleepily, I got out of bed and opened the door up. There were Mom and Dad with a look of such love on their faces. Mom and Dad hugged me and thanked me for my note. I even could see tears in Mom's eyes. Seeing the happiness I gave them made my own heart jump for joy. I was amazed that my simple words could touch them so much.
That beautiful memory has stayed alive in my heart ever since. I began to share my stories online with thousands of people all over the world: It reminds me not to be shy about sharing happiness with this world. They can be thanks, hugs and smiles. They can even be a simple note written with love.

Dear Bob,
How is everything going I'm so excited to tell you that I became a volunteer for the 2025 Harbin Asian Winter Games. It was a great experience and I learned a lot.
During the Games, I helped with many tasks such as guiding athletes to their venues, providing information to visitors, and assisting with translation. I also helped to organize some cultural events for the participants. It was tiring but very rewarding.
To be an excellent volunteer, I think the most important qualities are kindness, patience, and good communication skills. It's also important to be knowledgeable about the event and the local culture. I made sure to study a lot before the Games so that I could provide accurate information and help in the best way possible.
I'm glad I had this opportunity and I hope to be a volunteer again in the future. It's a great way to meet new people, learn new things, and make a positive impact.
Best wishes to you!
Yours,
Li Lei
