What can you do to help yourself get out of stress or worry If you’re an artist, you keep making art. And if you have never considered yourself an artist, now is the time to take up an artistic hobby such as drawing or painting. It is never too late to start. Everyone can do it. If you can hold a brush or crayon, you can create art.
Creating art heals(治愈)not only the mind and spirit but also the body since all of these are connected. As you draw or paint, your breathing slows, your blood pressure lowers, and your mind lets go of daily problems. This slowing down allows you to fully experience the moment. The process not only relaxes you but also brings a feeling of joy, increasing your energy and enthusiasm for life.
Making art also allows you to play, freeing you to find out and try out new materials and methods. It also lets you express pleasure by seeing beauty where others may not. Creating art provides you a special chance to express your anger or upset, as well as your personal ideas.
Although the process of making art is the most important part, your finished product is important too. Your painting or drawing will remind you of the lessons you learned while making it, and you may feel energetic just by looking at it.
If you don’t know how to begin, here are some ways to start creating art. If possible, set aside a small table with your brushes and watercolors so you can get creative whenever you get inspiration(灵感). Without thinking much about it, just choose colors that you like and start painting with them, or cut pictures with those colors out of magazines and glue them down, combining(结合)them with paints. The act of enjoying the colors and working on the color combinations will give you something to focus on instead of the stresses of your daily life.
1. What can you learn about making art from Paragraphs 2 and 3
A. It is good for our health. B. It causes high blood pressure.

3. Which of the following is NOT true about how to start making art
A. You must be very careful while choosing colors.
B. You can begin painting whenever you get inspiration.
C. You can get brushes and watercolors for preparation.
D. You may use magazines to make color combinations.
4. What’s the writer’s purpose of writing the passage
A. To tell us how to be an artist. B. To introduce the history of art.

The first driverless car to hit the screen was Herbie. Herbie could drive by himself and even talk to his human friends. KITT was another driverless car that appeared on the 1980s TV show Knight Rider. KITT could drive itself and help its rider Michael Knight catch criminals.
While the driverless cars of today can’t talk to us, they do have many similarities to the ones we’ve seen on screen. Nearly every large car company is working on their own autonomous vehicle(自动驾驶汽车). Tesla, for example, has developed a driver-assistance system for its cars called Tesla Autopilot.
Tesla Autopilot can complete much work that human drivers usually do. It can make sure that your car is centered in the correct lane(车道), as well as park itself and stop if it thinks that an accident might happen.
Google’ s sister company Waymo seems to be leading the way in the AV area. Its self-driving cars are already being used for taxi services in the US city of Phoenix. It uses common cameras to determine distance, which allows the cars to get around without risk of crashing(撞车).
Although companies are making great progress in developing autonomous vehicle, there is still a lot of work to be done. Year after year, companies like Tesla, General Motors, and Toyota promise that fully self-driving cars will become widely available. But nearly all of these promises have fallen through.
One of the problems is that designing a self-driving car that is safe and easy to use is much harder than people realize. Self-driving cars have to analyze(分析)millions of data points in order to prevent(防止)accidents. Humans are used to doing this—but designing an AI that can work like human mind to make a decision quickly is very difficult.
However, new technologies like 5G and faster computer processors will make the process faster. As these technologies develop, fully self-driving cars will come closer to reality.
1. What can Tesla Autopilot do
A. It can talk to humans. B. It can catch criminals.
C. It can stop at any time. D. It can finish much driving work.
2. What do we know about Waymo’ s driverless cars
A. They are used as taxis in Phoenix, US. B. They require human backup drivers.
C. They use cameras to discover other cars. D. They crash into other cars from time to time.
3. What is the passage mainly about
A. Reasons for inventing driverless cars. B. The development of driverless cars.
C. Driverless technology in TV and movies. D. The future high technology.
4. According to the passage, which of the following is NOT true
A. There is still a long way to go in developing autonomous vehicle.
B. The first driverless car could drive himself and talk to humans.
C. Few promises of the companies came true.
D. It’ s easier for a self-driving car to prevent accidents than humans.
20. It can be inferred (推断) from the passage that _________.
A. fully self-driving cars will be put into use in the future
B. self-driving cars have been widely used in our daily life
C. self-driving cars will be sold at much higher prices than now
D. fully self-driving cars that are safe and easy to use are available now

One possible version:
It is nothing new that many students take after-school classes now, but in my opinion, it’s a waste of time and money.
Although it can help some students get better grades and get into good high schools, it has many disadvantages. Firstly, students spend so much time on after-school classes that they have little time to relax and take exercise. It is bad for students’ health. Secondly, parents have to spend much money on after-school classes, but their children may dislike the classes at all. Finally, taking too many after-school classes causes too much stress for students. It’s not good for them.
All in all, I don’t think taking after-school classes is necessary.
