Their underfur is used to weave luxury shawls. Shahtoosh shawls(沙图什羊毛披肩) were given as wedding gifts in India and it takes the underfur of 3-5 adult
antelopes to make one shawl.

Changtang National Nature Reserve
中国面积最大(接近3个江苏省) ,平均海拔最高的自然保护区; 世界第二大陆域类自然保护区;“世界屋脊”的屋脊。
Protection objects(保护对象)
藏羚羊等大型有蹄类动物及高寒生态系统。
据现有资料,保护区有哺乳动物26种,鸟类83种,有鱼类、爬行类和昆虫等种类。该保护区内藏羚羊、西藏野驴和藏原羚羊的数量都超过万只,其中藏羚羊的数量在10万只以上。
“羌塘”为藏语,意为“北方旷野”,在地理上没有严格的界限,泛指藏北高原内流水系的连片地域,面积约为70万平方公里。这里地处“世界屋脊”的青藏高原腹地,平均海拔5000米,植被稀少,交通不便,人迹罕至,北羌塘历来有“无人区”之称。

I am also reminded of the danger they are in.
We are not trying to save the animals.
Actually, we’re trying to save ourselves.
The government, however, does not intend to stop the protection programmes,since the threats to the Tibetan antelope have not yet disappeared.
If we really want to save the planet,we must change our way of life.
No trading,
no killiing.
Call for wildlife protection
Humans all around the world need to set aside differences, speak with one voice and act as one global community. Everyone should have great faith that we can turn the tide(扭转局势) against the illegal wildlife hunting and trade through our actions.
Let’s turn goodwill of wildlife protection into action, to live in harmony with every species, the nature, and our common home.
