Somewhere down the mountain, some volunteer doctors were teaching medical(医疗的) skills to village nurses. Amy heard Betty drive off hours ago. “She didn’t want to take me. She thinks I’m too young. But I am already 15,” Amy thought.
Amy walked along the road. Roy, a village boy, was trying to stand on a horseback. Suddenly, Amy heard a heavy fall and a few cries. Roy was on the ground. The kids nearby didn’t know what to do. When Amy was done, she looked up and saw Roy’s mom and a man watching beside a truck. “Thank you, Amy,” Roy’s mom said. Amy helped them lift Roy into the truck, and then they drove down the hillside towards the hospital.
The next day, Betty came to Amy’s home. “I heard what you did,” Betty said. “You kept your head in an emergency(紧急情况). That’s an important skill. The volunteer doctors are coming tomorrow with vaccines(疫苗). We need some more hands. Can you help ”

On June 18, my classmates and I went to the community farm. When we arrived, we visited the farm and watched videos on farming. Then we worked together with farmers. Some learnt to harvest rice. Some helped to carry rice while others picked ears of rice from the fields. Through the activity, I’ve got the pleasure of hard work and learnt to value each grain.
Have you had any experience of this kind
Thanks!
