(Read Lines 1-29)
Jimmy went to see his friend Bob at the agreed location.
1.What do we know about “Big Joe” Brady’s restaurant from the passage
A.It was a famous restaurant in the neighbourhood.
B.It was run by Bob and Jimmy together.
C.It was still in business after twenty years.
D.It was the place where Bob and Jimmy had promised to meet.

Careful-reading for details
2.Why had Bob left New York twenty years before
Because Bob had wanted to travel to the West to make his fortune.
The West: In popular ideas about America, the Wild West has always meant the land of opportunities and adventures, where many European settlers moved during the 19th century to establish new farms and new cities. In films it is often shown as a place where cowboys and Native Americans (Indians) fight each other, and where cowboys use guns rather than the law to settle arguments. Therefore, a situation where there are no laws or controls is sometimes described as being like the Wild West.
