① This spring, the most eye-catching movie might be YOLO (《热辣滚烫》). By Feb 26, it had made over 3.3 billion yuan at the box office, reported The Paper.
② Directed (执导) by 41-year-old Jia Ling, the movie tells the story of a woman tired of the world, finding herself and learning to love life through boxing. The name YOLO is short for the movie’s main idea—you only live once.

⑤ In Jia’s eyes, her change in identity (身份) and look is her way of staying true to herself. “It’s hard to predict (预言) one’s life. I’m just following my heart. Movies are now the best way to show myself, so I put all my energy into them,” Jia told Xinhua.

He was wrapped (包裹) up from head to foot, and the big hat hid every inch of his face but his nose; the snow had piled itself against his shoulders and added a white cover to the bag he carried.
He rushed into the “Coach and Horses” more dead than alive, and threw his bag on the floor. “A fire,” he cried, “in the name of human charity! A room and a fire!” He shook the snow from off himself in the bar, and followed Mrs. Hall into her guest parlour (客厅).

There are young horses from the country, little Welsh ponies, like Merrylegs, and many beautiful horses too. But there were also a lot of poor, thin horses, worn out from hard work. I was very sad to see them.

My new owner stopped at a house and whistled. The door opened, and a young woman, a little girl and boy, came out. They all looked at me. “Is he gentle, father ” “Yes, Dolly, as gentle as a kitten, you can pat him.”

Success is often measured by the ability to overcome adversity. But it is often the belief of others that gives us the courage to try.
J. K. Rowling, author of the Harry Potter book series, began writing at the age of 6. In her biography, she remembers with great fondness when her good friend Sean, whom she met in secondary school, became the first person to encourage her and help build the confidence that one day she would be a very good writer.
“He was the first person with whom I really discussed my serious ambition to be a writer. He was also the only person who thought I was bound to be a success at it, which meant much more to me than I ever told him at the time.”
Though there were many setbacks, Rowling went on with her writing, particularly fantasy stories. But it wasn’t until 1990 that she first got the idea about Harry Potter. As she recalls, it was on a long train journey from London to Manchester that the idea of Harry Potter simply fell into her head. “To my immense frustration (沮丧), I didn’t have a functioning pen with me, and I was too shy to ask anybody if I could borrow one. I think, now, that this was probably a good thing, because I simply sat and thought, for four (delayed train) hours, and all the details bubbled up in my brain, and this scrawny, black-haired, bespectacled (戴眼镜的) boy who didn’t know he was a wizard became more and more real to me.”
That same year, her mother passed away after a ten-year battle with serious illness, which deeply affected her writing. She went on to marry and had a daughter, but separated from her husband shortly afterwards.
During this time, Rowling was diagnosed with depression. Unemployed, she completed her first novel in area cafes, where she could get her daughter to fall asleep. After being rejected by 12 publishing houses, the first Harry Potter novel was sold to a small British publishing house.
Now with seven books that have sold nearly 400 million copies in 64 languages, J. K. Rowling is the highest earning novelist in history. And it all began with her commitment to writing that was fostered by the confidence of a friend!

(23-24八年级下·江苏无锡·期中)The man came early in February, one cold day, through a strong wind and a driving snow, the last snowfall of the year, walking from Bramble Hurst railway station and carrying a little black bag in his thickly gloved hand.
Mrs. Hall lit the fire and left him there while she went to prepare him a meal with her own hands. As soon as the meal was well under way, she carried cloth, plates, and glasses into the parlour. Although the fire was burning up, she was surprised to see that her visitor still wore his hat and coat, standing with his back to her and looking out of the window at the falling snow in the yard. He seemed to be lost in thought.

通读全文可知本文主要讲述了哈利波特系列书的作者 J. K. Rowling 的成功始于他朋友的鼓励,因此“Confidence of a Friend Made Rowling a Great Writer”作为标题最适合。故选B。
根据“Unemployed, she completed her first novel in area cafes, where she could get her daughter to fall asleep.”
上文讲述了她的成功,此句开头“Though”表示让步,结合后句“But it wasn’t until 1990 that she first got the idea about Harry Potter.”
根据“I think, now, that this was probably a good thing, because I simply sat and thought, for four (delayed train) hours, and all the details bubbled up in my brain…”
