一、连词的概述和分类
语法突破——连词

词 概述 种类 作用
连词是用来连接词与词、句子与句子的。属于虚词,不能在句子里独立地担任句子成分。 并列
连词 联合关系:and,both...and,not only...but also,as well as,neither...nor.
选择关系:or,whether...or,
either...or,otherwise.
转折关系:but,while,only,still,yet,however, nevertheless(不过).
因果关系:for,so,therefore,thus,accordingly, consequently,hence(因此).

二、常用连词的用法对比
1.while,when,as用法对比
连词 用法
while 引导的时间状语从句中动词是持续性动词,时态多为进行时或一般时。
when 引导的时间状语从句中的谓语动词可以是终止性的,也可以是延续性的。主句和从句的谓语可以是一般时、进行时或完成时。
as 可与when,while通用,但强调“一边……一边……”。
2.till,until用法对比
连词 用法
until/till 相同 用于否定句时,结构为not...until (till),主句谓语动词延续与非延续皆可,意为“直到……才……”。用于肯定句时,只与延续性动词连用,表示“到……为止”。
不同 until可以放在句首,till则不行。
3.because,since,as用法对比
连词 用法
because because引导的原因状语,是句子的主要部分,放在句末。用来回答why提问的句子。
since since引导的原因为人们所知,或并不重要。since比as更正式些。常位于句首。
as as引导的原因也是为人们所知的,或不重要的。常位于句首。
4.although和though用法对比
连词 用法
although
/though 相同 引导让步状语从句往往用法一样,不与but连用,但可用副词yet,still。
不同 though常与even连用,even though意为“即使”, although不能。though可用作副词,“然而”,常用逗号与句子分开。although则不能。
5.whether,if用法对比:
连词  用法
whether
/if 引导主语从句、表语从句或同位语从句时,用whether,不用if。
whether可接不定式,而if则不可。
whether可作介词的宾语或置于句首表示强调,而if则不可。
whether引导的宾语从句是肯定句,if引导的宾语从句可以是肯定的,也可以是否定的。
引导宾语从句的whether和if常可与or not连用,但要分开使用;合起来使用时只能用whether,不能用if。
if可用来引导条件状语从句,译“如果”,whether则不行。
【连词高考考点分析】
下面是近几年高考题对连词的考查。通过这些题,我们来分析一下连词的用法和考点主要分布情况。
1.(2014年全国卷Ⅰ)But the river wasn’t changed in a few days 64 even a few months.
【分析】 64.or。考查并列连词。在否定句中,用or表并列关系。

【分析】 61.and。考查连词。空处与前面的protecting the authenticity and integrity(完整性) of natural ecosystems,preserving biological diversity,protecting ecological buffer zones三个动词是并列关系,故用并列连词and。句意:GPNP设计的目的是反映“保护自然生态系统的真实性和完整性,保护生物多样性,保护生态缓冲区,为子孙后代留下珍贵的自然资产”的指导原则。
连词考试主要是考状语从句。做题时,分析句子之间的逻辑关系,抓住关键词是非常重要的。2015-2017学年没有出语法填空,2018年的高考语法填空题就出现了,并且在改错题中是必考的类型,所以我们在复习备考中一定要重视连词。

The traffic issue not only affects our everyday life,but also threatens people’s lives.Quite a few things result from the traffic.In spite of the large-scale construction of roads and highways,there’s still much room for improvement.What’s worse,some drivers,cyclists and pedestrians don’t think it vital to obey traffic rules.
In fact,traffic rules are part of the rules and regulations closely related to public order.Without them,people could not enjoy harmony or the country would be in chaos.It is everybody’s duty to keep our society in order and go on the right track.
