本单元的主题是 “人与社会”,围绕 “礼仪、习俗”这一话题展开,谈论不同国家的文化习俗。通过对不同国家的风俗习惯,礼仪差异,时间观念和饮食文化等方面的学习,提高学生对不同文化的认识,加深对不同国家文化差异的了解,拓展学生的文化视野,提升学生文化意识、思维品质。通过研读课标、教材和学情分析,确立以下教学目标。
教学目标

1)、能认读Brazil, Mexico, Korea
2)、能正确拼、读、写单词和短语:custom, bow, kiss, shake hands, the United States, Japan, be supposed to do sth., for the first time, be expected to do sth.
2.能力目标
通过听说训练,加深对目标语言be supposed/ expected to do的认识。
3.情感目标
通过学习部分国家的见面礼仪,培养学生的跨文化意识,理解、尊重不同的文化。
教学重点
1. 能正确拼、读、写本课时学习的单词、短语。
2. 能正确表达部分国家礼仪习俗方面的差异、会用be supposed to和be expected to句式在不同场合的得体表现。
教学难点
通过听、说、读、看学习部分国家初次见面的礼仪,正确使用be supposed to或be expected to句式对他人提出合理、可行的建议,提升学生的跨文化意识,理解、尊重不同的文化。
教学流程
Step1. Show a tridimensional map to the students.

Step2. Watch a video《How To Greet People Around The World》 about how to greet people for the first time.

Step3 Show the Theme diagram, look and guess which countries they come from, and what are they supposed to do when they meet for the first time
【设计意图:观察主题图,猜猜他们来自哪个国家,见面时,他们应该怎样打招呼?激活学生参与学习的主动性】
Step4 Listen and fill in the blanks(listen two times),then repeat the conversations.(the third time)
