In the dynamic and fast-paced city of Mumbai, a young boy named Kabir lived a lively life. The Indian city was his favorite, filled with the hustle (喧闹) of busy streets, the sweet smell of various street food, and the laughter of friends as they walked home from school. He loved everything about Mumbai — the sea wind that blew his hair, the bright colors and festivities that brought joy to the city, and the warmth of his friends’ smiles. He had a daily routine which was full of excitement and joy, living in harmony with the city he called home. As a photography lover, he often took pictures of the beautiful landscapes of the city.
One fateful day, however, everything was about to change. Kabir’s father, Mr Kapoor, received a letter of great significance. It was an offer for a new job in a city far away, an opportunity that could provide his father with career prospects but also would take them away from their current home and the familiar surroundings Kabir loved so much. The news left Kabir feeling conflicted as he thought about leaving behind his beloved Mumbai and all its warmth and joy.
The family sat down to discuss the offer in detail. Mr Kapoor spoke passionately, “This new opportunity may bring about a better future for our family. There is the possibility that we will have new experiences, new adventures, and new beginnings.” His mother nodded and said, “I can’t agree more.” Kabir listened silently, his mind wandering back to the familiar sights and sounds of Mumbai that he had grown up with.
As they spoke, Kabir struggled with the decision. He knew he loved Mumbai with all his heart, but he also saw the potential in this new opportunity. He knew that change was unavoidable and that it brought the potential for growth and adventure with it.

“The dream begins with a teacher who believes in you, who tugs (拖拽) and pushes and leads you to the next level.” These words were spoken by legendary newsreader Dan Rather and they sounded very true for me.
From the time when my poems were published in the junior-high-school yearbook, I wanted to write and become a published writer Our high school began with the tenth grade. I joined the newspaper staff as a sophomore (高二学生) among a sea of experienced seniors. Our journalism advisor was Gene Genisauski, or Mr. G, as he was affectionately known by his students. As a teacher, Mr. G had an extraordinary gift for reaching his students. He commanded the respect that all teachers earn and certainly deserve. At the same time, he was always approachable and related to his students in such a way that it felt as though we were speaking with a trusted friend rather than someone who determined our grades. Most importantly, Mr. G possessed both the ability and the desire to breathe belief into students who may have not believed in themselves-including me.
In what I had believed to be highly questionable wisdom, Mr. G appointed me editorial editor. Sophomores were simply not granted that level of responsibility or ability; In fact, sophomores were not even supposed to be on the newspaper staff at all. And I was surrounded by those who were more capable than me-the student-body president, the captain of the basketball team.
However, Mr. G never once cared about my standing as a sophomore, nor did he compare me to the rest of the student staff. Instead, he focused on raw talent that I had not yet seen and courage that I had not yet discovered
When the criticism and teasing (嘲笑) from other staff members finally became too much, I did what any self-respecting fifteen-year-old would do: I attempted to give up my editor position.

In the photography competition themed “Beautiful Motherland”, my entry won the first prize!
I submitted a photo of a vast golden wheat field under the setting sun. The gentle breeze made the wheat waves ripple, and the warm glow of the setting sun painted the entire field with a layer of golden light. This scene reminded me of the hardworking farmers and their bountiful harvest.

【答案】参考范文:
In the end, Kabir made a decision that he knew was right for him and his family. With a heavy heart, he agreed to move to the new city. However, Mr Kapoor could sense Kabir’s reluctance from his expression, a mixture of sadness and hesitation. Taking Kabir’s hand, he reassured him, “We will come back to visit whenever we have the chance.” In an effort to comfort her son, Mrs Kapoor proposed that Kabir use his camera to capture some precious memories of their time in this city, to cherish and share before their departure. Kabir nodded.
The next day, Kabir picked up his camera, keeping his father’s advice in mind. With each click of the shutter, he captured the moments that held a piece of Mumbai’s essence — the vibrant street markets, the laughter of children playing in the park, and the colorful sunsets over the city skyline. As he framed each shot, a sense of peace settled within him, knowing that these memories would always be with him, a reminder of the city he loved and the new adventures that awaited in the future. With the pictures, he resolved to explore a new place, make new friends, and build a new life.

【答案】范文
As Mr. Rather stated, Mr. G began to tug and push me. He turned down my resignation to my face. He insisted and encouraged. He breathed that belief into me when I had little confidence in me. Mr. G then said to me. “You are not less talented. You are not less capable. You are younger. That’s all. So, you don’t get to quit. You don’t get to give up. You’re going to show them what you’ve got instead.”
These encouraging words of Mr. G gave me renewed confidence. Although still facing a lot of criticism and teasing, I was encouraged to stand up for myself, find my voice and make myself heard. I made progress step by step. Hard time finally passed and my work was finally recognized. After graduation, Mr. G’s encouragement continued pushing me to work hard and I finally realized my childhood dream of becoming a successful published writer. It is Mr. G’s wise advice to a fifteen-year-old trying to find her way that pushed me to pursue dreams to this day.
