Robert was fast sinking. It seemed as if Robert would be drowned. Just at the moment, Henry happened to be passing by. Hearing the screams, Henry ran to the riverside, threw off his clothes and jumped into the water without hesitation. He reached Robert just as he was sinking the last time. By great effort, and with much danger to himself, he brought Robert to the shore.
Thus, Robert’s life was saved. Robert and his new friends were ashamed at having called Henry a coward. They realized that Henry had true courage. They said sorry to Henry for their rude behavior and asked for his forgiveness. Henry forgave them happily. He and Robert were friends again and they went home together as usual. From this, Robert learned what true courage was: never be afraid to do good, but always fear to do evil.

根据Niagara Falls部分第一段“Have a great time enjoying the views and taking pictures of the cascading (倾泻) falls. You’ll have a matchless sightseeing experience when you visit it at night. 当你在晚上参观它时,你会有无与伦比的观光体验)”和Things to do中“Witness the excellent waterfalls. Spend time at the MarineLand.
根据Whistler部分Things to do中“Visit dozens of art museums and cultural centers. (参观几十个艺术博物馆和文化中心)”和Quebec City部分第一段“It is one of the most charming places to see in Canada because of art and cultural scenes. 故选A项。
通读全文,尤其是第一段“Thinking about exploring Canada Here is the perfect list of the great places that are worthy of being visited in Canada on your trip.
B篇24.B 25.A 26.B 27.B
根据第二段“My father grew up in a small village in the Dominican Republic. Despite not having many materials available, he created art with whatever he had. My father saved his money to buy paints and colored pencils to draw on the walls around his home. When he was 15, he arrived in America alone and stayed with his aunt in Florida for a while before finishing high school in New York with another aunt. He studied very hard. Eventually, my father was able to obtain his citizenship.
根据划线词上文“It wasn’t until I began looking carefully into my father’s paintings and the work of popular artists on Instagram that I started to be more critical of my work. I started to worry that I could never live up to my father’s talent. 故选A。
根据第二段“He studied very hard. Eventually, my father was able to obtain his citizenship. 和第五段“My father noticed that I had been drawing and painting less and told me, “Mia, you should audition for the school. I wish I'd had an opportunity to study art like this when I was a kid.”
根据最后一段“It was eye-opening to attend a college that specializes in the arts. I learned to embrace my individuality and my talent. I have become more open about sharing my artworks and receiving constructive criticism, which raises my self-belief in my art.
C篇28.B 29.D 30.A 31.C
根据第二段“People pursue CPR certification for many reasons, in part because it can increase the chances of getting a job. CPR certification provides people a stronger sense of confidence in their skills. But certification is simply a card indicating that you have completed a CPR course. And it shouldn’t suggest that someone with basic CPR training but without certification is less qualified if faced with a potentially life-threatening situation. Therefore, it doesn’t matter whether you have a CPR card or not if someone has drowned or experienced cardiac arrest. If you have been trained in CPR, with or without certification, you need to act.”(人们追求CPR认证的原因有很多,部分原因是它可以增加找工作的机会。
根据第三段“Time is probably the main reason why people don’t obtain CPR training. But here’s the bottom line: CPR classes take only around two to three hours to complete, and many are conducted free of charge through organizations like the Red Cross. You can even take a free online CPR course if you can’t spare three hours in your week. Others shy away from things like mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. What many people fail to realize is that mouth-to-mouth is no longer a requirement for CPR and that chest compression is the focus of treatment until emergency medical services arrive.”(时间可能是人们不接受心肺复苏训练的主要原因。
根据最后一段“By learning the facts about CPR training, you can make a choice about the options available to you. For more information, use the Red Cross CPR class locator and speak with an instructor near you. The best online training can be found through the National Safety Council’s first aid catalogue 故选A项。
根据文章大意以及第一段“Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is an important first aid skill to master and one that fewer and fewer people seem to take the time to learn these days. In fact, it only takes a few hours to get basic CPR training either in a classroom or online.

Bookings for four-star or five-star hotels in less-traveled places all increased ten times at a minimum. Some lesser-known scenic spots posted double-digit (两位数的) growth during the holiday. Baimaiquan Park in Jinan, the capital of Shandong Province, received 52,100 visits in the seven days, up to 15.78 percent year-over-year.

More importantly, it noted, the trend is set to force popular destinations to improve themselves instead of resting on their past honor.
根据最后一段“To give a real boost to the tourism market, Jiang suggested that more efforts be made to tap the potential of underestimated, lesser-known destinations. It is necessary to dig deeper into the local customs and highlight the local characteristics to improve the quality of local tourism.

One of my earliest memories is of my father sitting me down at our kitchen table with canvases, paints, and brushes. He taught me how to blend colors and use different materials. Whenever we felt inspired, we set out all our materials and painted what our hearts desired.
My father grew up in a small village in the Dominican Republic. Despite not having many materials available, he created art with whatever he had. My father saved his money to buy paints and colored pencils to draw on the walls around his home. When he was 15,he arrived in America alone and stayed with his aunt in Florida for a while before finishing high school in New York with another aunt. He studied very hard. Eventually,my father was able to obtain his citizenship.
As I got older, he continued to give me lessons, teaching me different brush strokes and how to take care of my art supplies. He taught me to find beauty in everything and everyone around me. I grew to love drawing people, as I could highlight the physical features that make everyone unique and beautiful. It wasn't until I began looking carefully into my father's paintings and the work of popular artists on Instagram that I started to be more critical of my work. I started to worry that I could never live up to my father's talent. My simple, two-dimensional drawings fell flat compared to his realistic landscapes. Going through my sketchbooks and portfolios, I found fault in all my drawings. Art was my favorite thing in the world but I started to believe I wasn't good at it. Instead of working toward improving,I decided to give up drawing.
My father noticed that I had been drawing and painting less and told me,“Mia,you should audition for the school. I wish I'd had an opportunity to study art like this when I was a kid." My father's bravery and strength are things that I desire to have. So over the next few months, I worked on my portfolio. Looking back at my pictures, I can see how much I have improved since then. The school must have seen potential in my drawings because I got in!It was eye-opening to attend a college that specializes in the arts. I learned to embrace my individuality and my talent. I have become more open about sharing my artworks and receiving constructive criticism, which raises my self-belief in my art.

Confidence comes from accepting imperfection.
Art is about following established rules.

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR)(心肺复苏术)is an important first aid skill to master and one that fewer and fewer people seem to take the time to learn these days.In fact, it only takes a few hours to get basic CPR training either in a classroom or online.Others may choose to get certified.
People pursue CPR certification for many reasons, in part because it can increase the chances of getting a job. CPR certification provides people a stronger sense of confidence in their skills. But certification is simply a card indicating that you have completed a CPR course. And it shouldn't suggest that someone with basic CPR training but without certification is less qualified if faced with a potentially life-threatening situation. Therefore, it doesn't matter whether you have a CPR card or not if someone has drowned or experienced cardiac arrest(心脏骤停). If you have been trained in CPR,with or without certification, you need to act.
Time is probably the main reason why people don't obtain CPR training. But here's the bottom line: CPR classes take only around two to three hours to complete, and many are conducted free of charge through organizations like the Red Cross. You can even take a free online CPR course if you can't spare three hours in your week. Others shy away from things like mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. What many people fail to realize is that mouth-to-mouth is no longer a requirement for CPR and that chest compression(按压)is the focus of treatment until emergency medical services arrive.
By learning the facts about CPR training, you can make a choice about the options available to you. For more information, use the Red Cross CPR class locator and speak with an instructor near you. The best online training can be found through the National Safety Council's first aid catalogue(目录).
28. What can we say about CPR certification
A. It takes a long time to obtain.
B. It is useful but not necessary.
C. It represents first aid qualification.
D. It is a professional medical degree.
29. What makes people refuse CPR training according to the author
A.Long duration. B.High learning costs.
C. Difficulty of the course. D.Misunderstandings about it.
30. What does the author do in the last paragraph
A. Provide some information. B. Make a conclusion.
C.Put an advertisement. D.Put forward a plan.
31. What is the text mainly about
A.How to perform CPR. B. How to do first aid training.
C.Facts about CPR training. D. Importance of CPR certification.
Going against the tide of flocking tourist destinations on vacation, a growing number of holidaymakers in China tend to spend their leisure time at lesser-known attractions. Reverse tourism(逆向旅游)has appeared as a new trend among young holidaymakers in China.
According to data from an online travel agency, the number of rooms booked at hotels in less-traveled cities during the holiday was up 30 percent year-on-year. Bookings for four-star or five-star hotels in less-traveled places all increased ten times at a minimum. Some lesser-known scenic spots posted double-digit(两位数的)growth during the holiday.Baimaiquan Park in Jinan, the capital of Shandong Province, received 52,100 visits in the seven days, up to 15.78 percent year-over-year.Besides crowds, some vacationers chose less-traveled places to save on the cost of trips to popular destinations. Jiang Han, a senior researcher, said that reverse tourism will become one of the future directions for the market. To give a real boost to the tourism market, Jiang suggested that more efforts be made to tap the potential of underestimated,lesser-known destinations. It is necessary to dig deeper into the local customs and highlight the local characteristics to improve the quality of local tourism.
32. What do the statistics in paragraph 2 tell us
A.The popularity of travel agency in China.
B.The high income of hotels during holidays.
C.The contributions of tourism to the economy.
D.The increasing trend of reverse tourism in China.
33. What may be the root cause of the rise of reverse tourism

B.Holidaymakers' changing needs for travel.
C.The lower cost of heading to less-traveled places.

34. What does Zhengzhou Daily think of reverse tourism
A. It will drop with the recovery of economy.

Robert and Henry were two friends in the same class. They always played together and went home together. One day Robert and Henry were going home from school, when,on turning a corner, Robert cried out, “A fight! Let's go and see!”
“No,” said Henry. “Let us go quietly home and not meddle with(插手)this quarrel. We have nothing to do with it and may get into mischief (trouble). Also our parents are expecting to have dinner with us together at home and I don't want them to worry about me.”
“You are a coward, and afraid to go," said Robert, and off he ran. Henry went straight home, and in the afternoon went to school as usual.
But Robert had told all the boys that Henry was a coward, and they laughed at him a great deal. From then on, they looked down upon Henry and didn't want to play with him together.
Henry was sad but he wasn't angry with Robert for his rude behavior, because he learned that true courage is shown most in bearing misunderstanding when it was not deserved, and that he ought to be afraid of nothing but doing wrong. Thus, he just ignored the other boys' laughter and continued to go to school and study as well. However, Robert didn't invite Henry to go home with him anymore. Instead, he had some other boys who also thought Henry was a coward. Every day after school, they didn't go home directly but went to the river or somewhere to play games and had a lot of fun.
A few days later, Robert was bathing with his new friends in a river, and got out of his depth. He struggled, and screamed for help, but all in vain. The boys who had called Henry a coward got out of the water as fast as they could, but they did not even try to help him.注意:
