① Welcome to the China Aviation ( 航空) Museum! Located at the foot of Datang Mountain in Changping District of Beijing, it is Asia’s largest museum of airplane relics (遗迹). It’s my favorite museum in the whole world. If you spend one day visiting here, you can participate in many interesting activities and enjoy yourselves. The China Aviation Museum includes three large exhibition areas: Cavern (大洞穴) Exhibition Hall, Open-air Exhibition Area, and Office Hall.
② When you walk into the China Aviation Museum, the first thing you will see is the mark which is up to 9 meters high. The Cavern Exhibition Hall is in the south of the mark. In this hall, you can get a good knowledge of the world’s great aviation treasures from ancient to modern airplanes. These exhibits are placed on two sides in time order. The right side not only exhibits airplanes which are famous in Chinese Aviation history, and the left side is a lot of modern airplanes produced by China.
③As you walk to the north from the sign, you cannot miss the Open-air Exhibition Area. The Hero Street runs through it and divides the area into two parts. There is a man-made lake on the left of the Hero Street. On the southern side of the lake, there are planes specially for great people. The right side of the Hero Street is the Model Hall, which exhibits f ighter planes, radar (雷达), and helicopters (直升机).
④All the way down to the Hero Street lies the Office Hall. In this hall, there are 28 real airplanes, over 550 models of various airplanes, over 20,000 books, more than 1850 pictures and photos as well as 1,021 gifts of friendship from other countries. On the west side of the Office Hall lays a CS field camp. You can have a fantastic experience here.
