A couple lives next door to me. They live a cat-and-dog life all day
just because of their son's schooling. When they go out, his son always
plays wildly at home. We all say “When the cat is away, the mice will
play.”
We know care kills a cat. The couple should communicate well
with their son. If not, they can’t know how he really feels. After all,
“Cats hide their claws.”
We also want the son to be aware of the meaning of the idiom
“The cat shuts its eyes when stealing cream.” He should have a good
attitude to study and live up to his parents' expectations.

English idioms are a way of adding color to the language.
For example, instead of saying “It's raining heavily”, you
could say“________________________”. Another reason to use idioms is that they are concise. For example, to describe someone who is always working or busy doing something, we can say they are “_______________”. If they are rushing into something and should be patient and wait, you should say “________________”.
practice makes perfect
It is raining cats and dogs.

them with Chinese ones.Take, for example,“_____________
______________________”(People do what they want and have fun when someone in authority is absent) and “__________________________”.
