Have you noticed that some people succeed, while others may not This is because some people own certain qualities while others don't have. If you want to be successful, you should remember the following things.
The first thing you must remember is that in order to succeed, you must have a strong wish. If you do not expect to win, you will not try as hard as those who do expect to win. You also need to have a clear purpose and reason for doing something. If you do not have a purpose, you will not do your best to work hard and make sure that every detail you have done is right.
Reading is another thing to remember, as it will help you learn about how other people have achieved success. If you want to learn how to set up a successful business, you should read books about some successful people who have achieved amazing success in their areas of business, such as Jerry Yang.
Another thing that helps people succeed is creativity -- thinking about things differently and wondering how others will do the same thing. Think about some successful people you know. They might be successful with a little creativity, but the most successful people are the most creative ones.
Practicing is essential if you want to succeed because practice makes perfect. Practice every day for the job you are in, and by doing so, you will see yourself, your business and your self-confidence begin to grow. If you feel confident about what you do, this confidence will make other people believe in you more as well. Your workmates will be happy to work with you, and your boss will give you more important things to do.
Finally, if you succeed, you will get respect from people and do more for our world.

C.To explain why.
D.To answer questions.
6.Which word's meaning is close to the underlined word "essential"
A.Easy. B.Confident. C.Important. D.Difficult.

It's good to try new things, even if they're difficult! 4 Make a plan After you divide the work, write down a plan on paper. You can use a calendar to help you. List all the tasks and think about when each one must be finished. It's important for everyone to follow the plan. And if you can't finish your part on time, tell the others as soon as possible.

African elephants can now be counted from space, using high resolution images (高清图像). The researchers say the new technology can be used to protect the animals better.
The researchers used satellites (卫星) 372 miles above the earth to take some of the highest resolution images. They then made a computer program that could identify (识别) elephants within the images (图像). Dr. Olga Isupova, from the University of Bath, told the BBC, "We could train the machine to see small details that we wouldn't be able to pick up with our eyes."
Usual ways of counting elephants are to fly above them in the planes or get humans to count the animals on satellite images. This can be difficult, because elephants are hard to be seen when they are among trees or tall grass. It takes a long time and mistakes can be made. The new technology means elephants can be counted more correctly and the work is much faster. The computers can do the same amount of counting in a few hours by the new technology instead of (代替) humans' monthly work. Clouds still are a challenge, because they can block (遮挡) the satellites' view. Luckily though, most places where the elephants live do not have much cloud.
The researchers say the new technology can help to save elephant populations from being hunted (捕猎) because it is easier to find where the elephants are and so plans can be made to protect them.

With more and more rain falling, it's time for snakes to be active. Living in the city, it never crosses your mind that we might meet them face to face.
Most people are afraid of snakes. They may think snakes are dangerous and ugly. There are more than 2,000 kinds of snakes. Most of them live in mountains or forests, and in cities sometimes we can find them in grass or other dark places. Snakes can't walk or run because they have no legs or feet, but these long and thin animals can move very fast on their stomachs. Snakes usually have green, yellow or black skins, which make it difficult for their enemies to find them. In winter they hibernate in holes. "Happiness is a habit," says Talia Soen, CEO of Happy Things, a platform (平台) that helps you develop those habits through daily lives. "Many people think happiness is hard to achieve, but we want to make it easy to understand and teachable." she says, "Let's examine the habits of happy people."
The experience of joy is related to the good, meaningful life. Happiness can be found in the small moments of our daily lives. For example, showing thankful feeling has been proved to increase happiness. Take a moment to think about the help you receive from others and thank them deeply. It can bring great joy to your life.
Reducing stress can improve your overall happiness. It's not a good idea to worry about too much. Soen suggests that spending time in nature is helpful for stress reduction. Even if you don't have time or access to go outdoors all year round, you can feel better by listening to nature sounds. And a study has shown that people feel less stressed if they have two to five hours of free time every day.
"There have been several studies on happiness and exercise," Soen says. "Many studies show that our happiness levels are influenced by moving our bodies a little bit more." The exact reason remains unclear, but even short periods of exercise can achieve this. As Soen mentioned earlier, exercising outdoors can have a double influence.
Having strong social relationships, such as friends, family, or other meaningful connections, can contribute to happiness. These relationships provide support when you need it. A researcher says, "Happy people spend more time with their friends and family members and are simply around other people more often." So, why not have lunch with your family or reach out to an old friend

These days, we easily feel stressed as we need to do lots of work every day. It's important to know how to solve problems and find ways to relax.
We should try organizing our problems from most important to least important as well as most urgent(紧急的) to least urgent. If some problems are both important and urgent, such as studying for a next-day test, do those tasks first. Once those are done, work on things that are important but not urgent, such as preparing for the final exams. From there, we can work on problems that are less important. Organizing our work this way helps a lot in knowing what to do first and not worrying about the rest.
Sometimes we feel stressed because we are not able to complete the task by ourselves. It's better to ask someone for help. If we stick to doing these tasks ourselves, it can make us more stressed and upset. Open your mouth bravely, and someone must give you a hand.
Still, sometimes we don't feel relaxed even after organizing our work well. That's okay. We can try to plan some exercise in our daily life. It doesn't even have to be a big trip to the gym, although that surely helps. It could be something as small as walking around the neighborhood for 10 minutes. Also,we can try different activities together with our family members or friends.
We can try meditation(冥想). Again, this does not need to be anything special. Just set aside 10to 20 minutes with a timer, si t upright, close your eyes, and focus only on breathing. If other ideas come up, accept that they are there and let them fall away on their own.
By trying these steps, we will go a long way toward feeling relaxed and peaceful when finishing all of the work.
74.In which order should we organize our tasks
a. Both important and urgent tasks.b. Less important tasks.
