学情分析
本本单元是人教版英语(三年级起点)六年级下册第四单元,本单元学习的主题是“Then and now”。本单元的学习主题是谈论过去和现在的变化,学生学习、理解和运用一般过去时、 一般现在时和一般将来时三种时态描述事物和人物的变化。本单元的教学重点在于让学生学会使用过去和现在两种时态进行对比描述,并能熟练地将其运用在实际生活中,会用所学词汇及句型谈论或描述对比事物和人物的今昔,通过不同的场景,使学生在真实的英语语言情境中更好地感知、体验和操练; 引导学生感受变化无处不在,感受自身的变化,感受社会的变化。引导人要积极应对变化,享更变化。 六年级学生对于学校、外貌、性格、爱好的话题并不陌生,他们已在五年级学习过一些与外貌、性格、能力相关的单词,为本单元话题的学习提供了一定的基础。但是,他们对周围环境的改变以及自身的变化并不敏感,并且对于如何使用动词过去时态进行描述比较陌生。因此,应主动引导学生主动了解个人的成长,环境的变化,社会的发展以及其中的关联,让其接纳的自己的变化,初步形成紧跟社会发展的意识。引导学生积极看待自己以及身边的变化,从而认识自我、完善自我以及丰富自我,了解世界的变化,为守护地球家园做力所能及的事情。
二、单元整体设计思路
本单元为人教PEP版六年级下册第四单元,主要围绕过去和现在的对比展开,包括过去和现在的生活、学校、交通等方面的不同,涉及到相关的词汇、句型和语法知识。 围绕单元主题,深挖各课时话题。本单元要学习的核心词汇gym, dining hall, grass,…years ago, last year, …months ago, last months,go cycling, ice-skate, play badminton等词汇 。在单元主题意义的引领下,以“Then and now” 为主题,教师要注意设计生活化,充分利用教材已经设定的情境开展活动,帮助学生在合作学习中和任务型学习中正确表达所学句型。语篇核心词汇核心句型学习内容学习时长学习目标A talkstar, easy, look up, Internet1.The Americans took about five days to get there in 1969.2.I looked it up on the Internet. 3. Now there is/are...”,能够用其描述过去和现在的事物与场景变化。能够听懂、读懂有关过去与现在对比的对话、短文等语料,获取关键信息,并完成相应的听力、阅读理解任务,如判断正误、回答问题、填空等。4.学会运用所学知识编写简单的关于过去与现在变化的小短文或对话,提高语言综合运用能力,包括语法正确、词汇运用恰当、表达流畅等方面。。
情感态度、文化意识、学习策略目标 激发学生对生活变化的关注和思考,培养学生珍惜现在、展望未来的积极生活态度。通过对过去与现在的对比学习,让学生了解社会的发展与进步,增强学生的文化意识和历史责任感。在教学过程中,关注学生的情感体验,尊重学生的观点和想法,对学生的努力和进步给予及时的肯定和鼓励,营造温馨和谐的课堂氛围,体现教师的人文关怀,增强学生的自信心和学习动力

语篇研读(附图)
本节课是对话篇, 本课时的主题意义是通过Wu Binbin’s grandpa与孩子们交流学校过去的情况。Wu Binbin’s grandpa回来探望学校,发现校园变化很大,于是跟孩子们分享以前的学校没有图书馆,教学楼也只有山上的一栋并且当时没有电脑和网络,学生都是通过看书和上课了解知识,当时还可以在学校看到夜晚的星星,sarah听后分享自己长大要去月球。学生在对话学习的过程中,了解学校的今昔对比。并了解人类首次登月和中国探月史的相关信息等, 掌握句型的运用。从而激发学生在真实的语言情境中来实际应用所学词汇和句型,检验学生对核心词句的掌握。让学生感知本节课句型的语义及语用情景。要求学生在语境中能熟练运用一般过去时,通过向他人描述学校过去的状态,引导学生通过事物、人物的今昔对比,呈现不同的变化。
