A Rainy Day Experience
Last Friday afternoon, a heavy rainstorm suddenly came while I was walking home from school. At that moment, I was talking to my classmate Li Ming about our homework. All of a sudden, the wind started to blow strongly and big raindrops began to fall.
When the rain started, my mother was cooking dinner in the kitchen and my father was watching TV in the living room. They quickly closed all the windows. My little brother was doing his homework in his room when the lightning flashed and the thunder roared loudly. He got so scared that he ran to my parents.
I was lucky to find shelter in a nearby supermarket. Many people were waiting there for the rain to stop. Some were checking their phones, others were chatting about the unexpected storm. After about an hour, the rain became lighter and I could finally go home.
This experience taught me that we should always pay attention to the weather forecast and carry an umbrella during the rainy season.
